Twenty volumes, written by Zeng Shirong of the Yuan Dynasty. This work is recorded in Jiao Hong's *Guoshi Jingji Zhi* (Bibliography of National History). The manuscript copy previously owned by my family consisted of only eight volumes, with numerous textual errors and corruptions. I once transcribed it from the Korean medical compendium *Uibang Yuchae* (Classified Collection of Medical Prescriptions) to form a complete edition. I believe that the contents of this book, ranging from diagnostic and therapeutic methods to daily nurturing, protection, breastfeeding, and play, are discussed in great detail, thereby preventing infants from suffering premature death like ephemeral insects. His dedication to protecting children was indeed profound. Zeng Shirong also authored *Huoyou Xinshu* (New Book for Living Infants). Yang Zhongshu stated in his preface that during a disaster in Hengyi, thousands of households under the giant paulownia trees were reduced to ashes, yet the printing blocks of this book, which had been thrown into a pond by enthusiasts, remained unharmed. This was considered an act of heaven's will, which was truly reasonable. Such a book ought to be protected by divine beings and should not be lamented as lost. Later, after more than ten years, in July of this year, my uncle Yuan Qi brought forth a complete version collected by Jian Youxue of the Zhudong lineage. Overjoyed upon borrowing it, I hastily transcribed a copy to pass down to my family. Thus, I felt that Zeng Shirong's benevolent intention had not perished, and I rejoiced that my previous words served as a warning. The details of this matter are recorded above.
