Yuanhua (Stir-fried with vinegar)

Grind the above herbs into a fine powder, mix evenly with Shexiang, form pills using soft glutinous rice paste, size of paulownia seeds. Take ten pills each time, taken with light vinegar soup, at any time.
Divine Effective Formula for Treating Women's Pi and Blood Qi (A woman once suffered from an abdominal mass attacking the heart causing pain, cured by taking this formula.)
Take one pig liver weighing ten liang. Insert fifty Baidu beans (skin removed) into the liver and tie it securely. Simmer the liver in three bowls of strong vinegar until extremely soft. Remove the Baidu beans. Mix in Jing Sanleng powder, adjust consistency, and form pills size of paulownia seeds. Take five pills each time before meals with warm wine.
Congbai San (Scallion White Powder): Specifically treats all types of cold qi disharmony, and pain caused by gas attacking from the Zang organs or Bladder. Greatly treats women's abdominal pain and fetal instability before and after childbirth, or stabbing blood pain. Also treats chronic cold in the blood organs, fatigue and pain in all joints, weak physique, labor injury, and pi. Long-term use eliminates these completely. However, for all women's diseases, this is most suitable. (Take concurrently with the following Wuji Jian Wan.) (Focuses on cold qi disharmony; perhaps not suitable for pregnancy. If postpartum stabbing pain or cold blood organs occur, it is appropriate.)
Chuanxiong Danggui Zhike Houpo Guixin Ganjiang Bo Shangxiang Shaoyao Qingpi Muxiang Maiya Sanleng Ezhu Koushenzi Fuling Shenqu
Renshen Shudihuang (Equal parts)
Grind the above herbs into a fine powder. Take three qian each time, decocted with one zhan of water, two cun of scallion white with roots (crushed), and half a qian of salt until reduced to seven-tenths. Add Dahuang and Hezi.
Adjust according to symptoms: if bowel movement is difficult, add Dahuang to decoct without salt; if bowel movement is normal, add Hezi to decoct. (In the human body, free flow of qi and blood indicates health. This formula uses Siwu Tang to nourish blood; Renshen assists qi; Zhike and Houpo move upper jiao qi; Xiang and Koushen move lower jiao qi; Muxiang and Qingpi move liver qi; Ganjiang warms and moves qi within blood; other ingredients eliminate accumulations, all serving to warm and move qi. Once qi moves, pain stops.
Salt guides into the blood level, allowing qi to descend internally; scallion guides qi outward to open the exterior. Thus, interior and exterior harmonize, and pain heals.)
Wuji Jian Wan (Black Chicken Paste Pill): Treats various diseases before and after childbirth in women.
Wuxiongji (One bird) Wuyao Shechuang Mudan Renshen Baizhu Huangqi (One liang each) Cangzhu (Soaked in rice water, sliced and roasted, one and a half liang)
Haitongpi Rougui (Remove coarse bark) Fuzi (Processed, remove skin and navel) Baishaoyao Chuanwu (Processed) Honghua Chenpi Peng'ezhu (Two liang each)
Muxiang Yanhusuo Roudoukou Hupo Caoguo Shudihuang (Washed and roasted, half liang each)
Finely chop the above herbs. Use one male black chicken, scald to remove feathers and internal organs. Place the herbs inside the chicken cavity. Cook in a new porcelain jar with one dou of good wine until dry. Remove chicken bones, dry over oil paper, grind into fine powder. Mix with refined honey to form pills size of paulownia seeds. Take thirty pills each time. (Women's body is yin, function is yang. Menstruation is primarily governed by Jueyin Liver channel. Chicken belongs to Xun Wood, nature connects to Liver. Strong liver qi nourishes blood, generating life. The male black chicken embodies yin structure with yang function, symbolizing Water generating Wood, Wood generating Fire. Women's body is yin, often prone to stagnation. Thus, this is used to stimulate liver qi and assist its function. The formula uses Renshen, Huangqi, Baizhu to benefit Sanjiao qi; Honghua, Shudihuang, Baishaoyao to benefit Xinbao, Liver, Kidney, and Spleen blood; Cangzhu, Chenpi, Wuyao, Muxiang to regulate stagnant qi; Yanhusuo, Mudan, Hupo to move stagnant blood; Chuanwu, Fuzi, Rougui to warm cold coagulation. Various ingredients warm the middle to awaken Spleen, digest food to resolve accumulation, move qi in blood, move blood in qi, act on exterior, act on interior, all assisting each other to achieve efficacy. Ultimately, based on qi and blood, using warming and moving, prioritizing Spleen and Stomach grain qi, which is why it can be taken for various diseases. Its claim to treat pre-natal diseases is questionable.)
For colds before/after childbirth, take with honey wine; for pre-natal chest oppression and high fever, take with stir-fried ginger wine; for leukorrhea, take with Shengjiang Dihuang wine;
for postpartum敗血 attacking the heart, take with child's urine and stir-fried ginger wine; for postpartum blood clots filling abdomen causing pain, take with Yanhusuo wine; for pre-natal vomiting, take with ginger soup; for inducing labor, take with stir-fried Shuhuaizi wine; for calming fetus, take with salt wine; for unmarried women with delayed menstruation and limb pain, take with Honghua wine; for blood qi stabbing heart/abdomen pain, take with Danggui wine; for blood fainting, take palm charcoal ground with wine; for blood oppression, take Wumei soup with Cinnabar; for chronic uterine cold, take with warm wine or jujube soup, once daily on empty stomach; for blood wind consumption, take with Renshen wine; for severe lower abdominal cramping, take with stir-fried Huixiang salt wine; for blood dispersing to limbs causing generalized edema and yellow swelling, take with Xiaochidou wine; for maintenance, take with warm wine or vinegar soup, on empty stomach before meals. Blood evil (refers to pathogenic influence due to blood stasis, recognized by masses. Differentiate from phlegm-fluid and food retention. The use of Roudoukou and Caoguo in this formula indicates this intent), take with Cinnabar and Shexiang wine.
Pi and Jia, hard blood-qi masses, thirst, stabbing pain, even death-like states, are ultimately caused by blood. I once treated a woman with unbearable blood-qi stabbing pain, unconscious for one to two days, treated by doctors and shamans for years without success. Using Congbai San and Wuji Wan, she recovered. I also treated a woman with blood-qi discomfort, feeling like a small plate moving with stabbing pain, requiring support to stop. These two medicines also cured her. For minor blood-qi issues, these two medicines are also remarkably effective, so recorded here.
Mr. Zhu said: This medicine greatly treats Heart qi bi pain, effective when used. I once used it to cure edema immediately. Lady Chen suffered from blood-qi discomfort, unbearable pain, ineffective with other medicines. Upon examination, Guan pulses were weak and deep, Liver pulse was deep and slightly tight, indicating blood-qi gradually forming Pi (Any pulse that is tight, small, deep, and slow indicates blood coagulation and qi stagnation). Treated successfully with only these two medicines. Also, Madam Ma's wife in Siming suffered similarly, cured by these two medicines.
Sideng Wan (Four Grades Pill): Treats women's pi qi, heart and abdominal pain, indigestion.
Dahuang (Crushed and lightly stir-fried) Helile (Remove pit) Binglang Muxiang (Equal parts)
Grind into fine powder, make pills with wine-boiled wheat flour paste, size of paulownia seeds. Take fifteen pills before meals with Shengjiang Jupi soup; warm wine is also acceptable.
Another Prescription
Biejia (Vinegar-roasted until yellow, remove skirt) Chuan Dahuang (Crushed and lightly stir-fried) Jing Sanleng (Processed, equal parts)
Grind into powder, make pills with vinegar-boiled wheat flour paste, size of paulownia seeds. Take ten pills before meals with Shengjiang soup.
Muxiang Sha Wan: Treats women's pi accumulation, blood-clot stabbing pain, Spleen-Stomach deficiency-cold, retained food indigestion, chronic non-healing cases.
Muxiang Sharen (Separately ground) Dingxiang Guanchuan Fuzi (Processed) Ganqi (Stir-fried until smoke ceases) Xiemo Ruxiang (Separately ground) Guangzhu
Qingpi Moyao (Separately ground) Dahuang (Crushed to powder) Jing Sanleng Zhuya Zaojiao Ganjiang (Processed, equal parts) Badou Shuang (Halved amount)
Except for Sharen, Ruxiang, and Moyao, grind others into powder. Dissolve Sharen in one sheng of good vinegar, strain. Slowly boil in silver vessel, then add Badou Shuang and Dahuang to form paste. Mix herb powder with paste to form pills size of hemp seeds. Take 30-50 pills after meals with warm wine, increase until bowel movement occurs. (This dosage follows Mr. Danxi's intention.)
The above three formulas are all purgative agents for resolving accumulations, lacking tonifying properties. Forbidden for deficient persons. Even for excess cases, they must be taken concurrently with Sijunzi Tang and Siwu Tang.
