Wujiapi Infused Wine Prescription: Treats women's fixed masses (Pi Jian), emaciation, and coldness of the yin. (The general principle is to warm what is cold; while Digupi and Tianmendong clear the upper jiao and secure the lower jiao.)
Ingredients: Wujiapi (Acanthopanacis Cortex), Ganjiang (Dried Ginger), Danshen (Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), Shechuangzi (Cnidii Fructus), Shudihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata), Duzhong (Eucommiae Cortex) (each 3 liang); Digupi (Lycii Cortex), Tianmendong (Asparagi Radix) (each 1 liang); Zhongrufen (Stalactitum) (4 liang).
Preparation and Administration: Crush the herbs, place them in a raw silk bag, and soak in 15 jin of wine for two nights. Take one zhan per dose, drinking on an empty stomach before meals. Another prescription uses Gouqizi (Lycii Fructus) instead of Digupi. (Gouqizi is particularly excellent.)
Bawei Wan (Eight-Ingredient Pill): Treats blood deficiency failing to nourish the zang-fu organs, withered and dry fluids, and wind-cold pathogenic factors lodging in the zi zang (uterus), resulting in coldness of the yin.
Ingredients: Shudihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata) (8 qian, pounded into paste), Shanzhuyu (Corni Fructus), Gansanyao (Dioscoreae Rhizoma) (each 4 liang); Mudanpi (Moutan Cortex), Bai Fuling (Poria), Zexie (Alismatis Rhizoma) (each 3 liang); Rougui (Cinnamomi Cortex), Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata) (each 1 liang).
Preparation and Administration: Grind the herbs into fine powder, mix with the Rehmannia paste, add refined honey, and form pills the size of tung tree seeds. Take 70–80 pills per dose, swallowing with plain boiled water on an empty stomach before meals.
Prescription for Treating Women's Yin Coldness: Yuanzhi (Polygalae Radix), Ganjiang (Dried Ginger), Lianhua (Lotus Flower) (each half liang); Shechuangzi (Cnidii Fructus), Wweizi (Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus) (each 1 liang).
Preparation and Administration: Pound and sieve the herbs into powder. For each use, apply rabbit feces to smear the vulva externally, take one qian of the powder wrapped in cotton, and insert it into the vagina. A sensation of heat indicates efficacy.
Another Prescription: Shechuangzi (Cnidii Fructus), Wuzhuyu (Evodiae Fructus), Tiantingli (Descurainiae Semen seu Fructus) (each half liang); Meishi Zi (Arecae Concretio Silicea) (one piece).
Preparation and Administration: Grind the herbs into fine powder, wrap in cotton to the size of a date pit, and insert into the vagina. Continue until warmth is felt in the abdomen.
Another Prescription: Shechuangzi (Cnidii Fructus) (1 liang), Wuzhuyu (Evodiae Fructus) (1.5 liang, used raw); another version uses Shexiang (Moschus).
Preparation and Administration: Grind the herbs into fine powder, bind with refined honey into pills the size of a sour jujube seed, wrap in cotton, and insert into the vagina. Continue until foul discharge is expelled.
Warm-Middle Sitting Medicine: Use Shechuangzi (Cnidii Fructus) powder mixed with a small amount of Baifen (White Powder, likely rice starch or similar vehicle), blend evenly, form into pills the size of a date pit, wrap in cotton, and insert into the vagina. Natural warmth indicates efficacy.
Another Prescription: Place Wuzhuyu (Evodiae Fructus) into a cow's gallbladder until full, dry in the shade for one hundred days. Take twenty grains each time, grind into powder, wrap in silk, and insert into the vagina. After a while, a burning hot sensation will occur.
