Mizaza (Zuixiancao), also known as Zuixiancao (Drunken Immortal Herb) and Jiujicao (Disease-Saving Herb). It is produced in central Yunnan. Its taste is sweet, and its nature is slightly warm. It enters the Stomach and Large Intestine meridians. It is used to stop prolonged watery diarrhea and treat bloody and non-bloody dysentery; it should be roasted with brown sugar and taken orally.
In the past, an infectious intestinal plague occurred in central Yunnan, causing everyone to suffer from dysentery. Later, the physician Fan Weng used this herb roasted with sugar to save thousands of people.
(Another prescription) For contusions, knife wounds, and broken flesh, crush the herb, mix it with sugar, and apply it to the wound.

Baishayin grows inside rocky gorges. Its shape resembles an earthworm, with white ring-like hairs on its body and a fine tail. It is most abundant in Yiliang County, but many people do not recognize it. Its odor is sweet and pungent. It is non-toxic. It mainly treats thirty-six types of infantile convulsions, epidemic diseases caused by the six exogenous pathogenic factors (Wind, Cold, Summer-heat, Dampness, Dryness, Fire), and stroke-induced aphasia in men, women, old, and young, or left-sided hemiplegia and right-sided paralysis, along with insensibility of the four limbs. Crush it, heat it over fire, and take it down with wine; the effect is miraculous. Another use is to treat male seminal coldness and penile retraction; applying it to the umbilicus can restore erection.
