If the syndrome of "Zi Xuan" (Fetal Suspension) is the most difficult to treat, it is due to fetal heat. The fetus is restless, its body desires to rise, standing within the uterus, thus presenting an appearance as if suspended, rather than being physically hung up.

Leaking blood during pregnancy is caused by deficiency of Qi and Blood. The prescription uses: Ren Shen (Ginseng Root) 2 qian, Bai Zhu (Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome) 5 qian, Du Zhong (Eucommia Bark) 1 qian, Gou Qi Zi (Lycium Fruit) 1 qian, Shan Yao (Dioscorea Rhizome) 3 qian, Dang Gui Shen (Radix Angelicae Sinensis Root). Take orally.

Difficult labor, such as transverse presentation or breech presentation, leads to death in an instant; emergency rescue is required. The fetus is not turning smoothly due to deficiency of Qi and Blood, often failing to rotate, hence hands and feet appear first. If the fetal head has reached the birth canal but does not descend for a long time, it is because the Jiao Gu (pubic symphysis) has not opened. Quickly use Zha Mu Zhi (Oak Branch) 1 liang, Dang Gui (Angelica Sinensis) 1 liang, Chuan Xiong (Ligusticum Rhizome) 5 qian, Ren Shen (Ginseng Root) 5 qian, decoct in water and drink.

Zhang Xian said: I have two more prescriptions, one for leaking blood and one for fetal movement. For fetal movement: Use Bai Zhu (Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome) 1 liang, Shu Di Huang (Prepared Rehmannia Root) 1 liang. Decoct in water and drink.

Hongluan Shizhe said: It is common for mothers to die after giving birth in cases of difficult labor, which pains the hearts of benevolent people. Another situation: After the baby is born, if the placenta suddenly rises upward, it is feared that evil blood is rushing to the heart. Use Bi Ma Zi (Castor Bean) 1 qian, crushed and applied to the sole of the mother's foot; shortly after, the placenta will naturally descend.

It is even more terrifying when the large intestine prolapses after the baby is born; this is extreme deficiency leading to sinking. Use Ren Shen (Ginseng Root), Sheng Ma (Cimicifuga Rhizome), and Chai Hu (Bupleurum Root) to disperse healthy Qi, making it harder for the intestine to retract... [Text incomplete/corrupted].
