Throat Bi (obstruction and swelling of the throat): Jiache (ST6), Hegu (LI4), Shaoshang (LU11), Chize (LU5), Jingqu (LU8), Yangxi (LI5), Daling (PC7), Erjian (LI2), Qian谷 (SI3).
Jaw clicking/pain: Shaoshang (LU11).
Sensation of a foreign body in the throat: Jianshi (PC5), Sanjian (LI3).
Swollen throat: Zhongzhu (TE3), Taixi (KI3).
External swelling of the throat: Yemen (TE2).
Sore throat: Fengfu (GV16).
Difficulty swallowing: Moxibustion on Danzhong (CV17).
Throat closure/obstruction: Quchi (LI11), Hegu (LI4).
Severe throat swelling, pain, and obstruction, unable to swallow water or food: Hegu (LI4), Shaoshang (LU11); additionally, use a three-edged needle to perform three parallel pricks on the dorsal aspect of the thumb, proximal to the first interphalangeal joint, below the nail root.
Double tonsillar hypertrophy (bilateral "silkworm" appearance): Prick Yuye, Jinjin, and Shaoshang (LU11).
Single tonsillar hypertrophy (unilateral "silkworm" appearance): Shaoshang (LU11), Hegu (LI4), Lianquan (CV23).
Severe throat swelling and obstruction: Use a fine three-edged needle concealed within a pen tube. Pretend to apply Myrrha (Moyao) to the swollen area, then prick it. Otherwise, the patient may be frightened, hindering recovery.
Tinnitus: Baihui (GV20), Tinghui (GB2), Tinggong (SI19), Ermen (TE2), Luoque (BL8), Yangxi (LI5), Yanggu (SI7), Qian谷 (SI3), Houxi (SI3), Wanggu (SI4), Zhongzhu (TE3), Yemen (TE2).
Otitis externa with cerumen infection and pus: Ermen (TE2), Yifeng (TE17), Hegu (LI4).
Hearing loss/deafness: Ermen (TE2), Fengchi (GB20), Xiaxi (GB43), Yifeng (TE17), Tinghui (GB2), Tinggong (SI19).
Red eyes: Mucuang (GB15), Daling (PC7), Hegu (LI4), Yemen (TE2), Shangxing (GV23), Cuanzhu (BL2), Sizhukong (TE23).
Marginal blepharitis due to wind: Yanggu (SI7).
Red pterygium/iris opacity: Cuanzhu (BL2), Houxi (SI3), Yemen (TE2).
Red eye with superficial corneal opacity: Taiyuan (LU9), Xiaxi (GB43), Cuanzhu (BL2), Fengchi (GB20).
Corneal opacity/membrane: Hegu (LI4), Linqi (GB14), Jiaosun (TE20), Yemen (TE2), Houxi (SI3), Zhongzhu (TE3), Jingming (BL1).
White corneal opacity: Linqi (GB14), Ganshu (BL18).
Eye pain: Neiting (ST44), Shangxing (GV23).
Cold tears (clear, non-sticky tearing): Jingming (BL1), Linqi (GB14), Fengchi (GB20), Wanggu (SI4).
Lacrimation upon exposure to wind: Touwei (ST8), Jingming (BL1), Linqi (GB14), Fengchi (GB20).
Excessive tearing: Linqi (GB14), Baihui (GV20), Yemen (TE2), Houxi (SI3), Qian谷 (SI3), Ganshu (BL18).
Sudden onset of corneal opacity due to wind, with unbearable bilateral eye pain: Jingming (BL1); moxibustion on the middle finger, at the interval between the proximal interphalangeal joint and the tip, 3 moxa cones per site.
Pinyin blindness (night blindness/optic atrophy): Ganshu (BL18), Shangyang (LI1) (treat left side for right-sided symptoms, and vice versa).
Entropion (inverted eyelashes): Sizhukong (TE23).
Acute eye pain: Sanjian (LI3).
Blurred vision: Touwei (ST8), Cuanzhu (BL2), Jingming (BL1), Mucuang (GB15), Baihui (GV20), Fengfu (GV16), Fengchi (GB20), Hegu (LI4), Ganshu (BL18), Shenshu (BL23), Sizhukong (TE23).

Eye pain: Yangxi (LI5), Erjian (LI2), Daling (PC7), Sanjian (LI3), Qian谷 (SI3), Shangxing (GV23).
Wind-induced orbital ulceration with lacrimation: Touwei (ST8), Quanliao (SI18).
Itchy and painful eyes: Guangming (GB37) [sedation method], Wuhui (GB2).
Corneal opacity: Ganshu (BL18), Mingmen (GV4), Tongziliao (GB1) (located 0.5 cun lateral to the outer canthus; sedate after obtaining Deqi), Hegu (LI4), Shangyang (LI1).
Pediatric night blindness (cannot see at night): Moxibustion on the medial aspect of the thumbnail, one cun posterior to the nail, at the head of the transverse crease and the junction of white flesh, 1 moxa cone per site.
