Similar to the fetus's hand cupping the mother's heart; if a male is born, prick the left palm; if female, the right palm. Needle marks may be present for verification. Otherwise, needle marks may appear at Renzhong (GV26) or behind the head.
Postpartum blood fainting with loss of consciousness: Zhigou (TE6), Zusanli (ST36), Sanyinjiao (SP6).
After abortion, cold hands and feet like water, reversal cold (Jue Ni): Jianjing (GB21) [acupuncture 5 fen deep]. If dizziness and confusion occur, urgently needle Zusanli (ST36).

Treating these symptoms as Xu Lao (deficiency consumption) is incorrect.
Amenorrhea with yellow complexion, dry heaving, and failure to conceive: Quchi (LI11), Zhigou (TE6), Sanli (ST36), Sanyinjiao (SP6).
Excessive menstruation: Tongli (HT5), Xingjian (LR2), Sanyinjiao (SP6).
Intermittent metrorrhagia: Sanyinjiao (SP6).
Desire for sterilization: One cun above the medial malleolus of the right foot. Another method: Moxibustion 2.3 cun below the umbilicus, three cones.
General coldness and fatigue: Moxibustion on Guanyuan (CV4).
Irregular menstruation due to formation of masses: Acupuncture on Jianshi (PC5).
