Chong Mai (Penetrating Vessel) starts from Henggu (CN11), runs alongside the navel. Daqi (Great Qi) radiates to Mangshu (BL21), Shangqu (ST19), Shiguan (ST18), Yindu (SP15), Tonggu (ST14), and Youmen (RN15). The acupoints extend to the chest, spreading and circulating along Ren Mai (Conception Vessel).
Henggu (CN11) is located in the lower abdomen, above the pubic symphysis.
Dahé (CN12), Qixue (CN13), Sihai (CN14), Zhongzhu (CN15), Mangshu (BL21), Shangqu (ST19), Shiguan (ST18), Yindu (SP15), Tonggu (ST14), and Youmen (RN15): Chong Mai originates from Zusanli (ST36) of Foot-Yangming Stomach Channel and runs parallel with Kidney Channel of Foot-Shaoyin. It is the Street of Qi in the abdomen, flanking the midline of the navel, 0.5 cun on each side, totaling eleven acupoints. Each acupoint is spaced one cun apart vertically. Ren Mai (Conception Vessel), Du Mai (Governing Vessel), and Chong Mai (Penetrating Vessel) all originate from the Baozhong (Uterus/Pelvic Cavity); thus, these three vessels share a common source.
Dai Mai (Girdle Vessel) originates from Dai Mai (GB26) of Shaoyang Channel, encircling between Wushu (GB27) and Weidao (GB28), located below Jingmen (GB25). It goes up around the hypochondrium, binding like a belt.
Dai Mai (GB26) is located 1.8 cun below the costal margin on the Foot-Shaoyang Gallbladder Channel.
Wushu (GB27) is 3 cun below Dai Mai (GB26).
Weidao (GB28) descends from Wushu (GB27), passing below Zhangmen (LR13) of Liver Channel by 5.3 cun.
The branch of Foot-Shaoyin Kidney Channel enters the heel, ascends to Zhongfu (LU9), diverges to join Taiyang, ascends to Qixue (CN13) of the Kidney, which corresponds to the interior of the 14th thoracic vertebra, meeting Chong Mai of Foot-Shaoyin. Externally, it joins Dai Mai of Foot-Shaoyang but does not travel together with Chong Mai; it emerges at the hypochondrium and belongs to Dai Mai of Shaoyang.
Yangqiao Mai (Yang Heel Vessel) starts from Shenmai (BL62) and Pucan (BL63), resides at Jianliao (TE14) and Jugu (LI17), Tianliao (TE15), Dicang (ST4), Juliao (ST3), Chengqi (ST1), and ends at Jingming (BL1).
Yangqiao Mai refers to the branch channel of Foot-Taiyang Bladder Channel.
Shenmai (BL62) is located in the depression 0.5 cun below the lateral malleolus of Foot-Taiyang Bladder Channel.
Pucan (BL63) winds from Shenmai (BL62) under the calcaneus.
Fuyang (BL59) is 3 cun above the lateral malleolus, obliquely forward from Pucan (BL63).
Juliao (GB29) meets Foot-Shaoyang at the lower end of the cartilage of the hypochondrium, 8.3 cun below Fuyang (GB30).
Jianjing (GB21) meets Hand-Yangming at the shoulder tip, above the head of the humerus.
Jugu (LI17) ascends from Jianjing (GB21) to the top of the shoulder, between the two forked bones (clavicle and scapula).
Tianliao (TE15) meets Hand-Taiyang, Foot-Taiyang, and Yangwei Mai at the lower edge of the scapula, below the large bone behind the shoulder.
Dicang (ST4) meets Hand-Yangming and Foot-Yangming beside the corner of the mouth, 0.4 cun away.
Juliao (ST3) runs from Dicang (ST4) beside the nostril, 0.8 cun away.
Chengqi (ST1) meets Ren Mai and Foot-Yangming below the eye, 0.7 cun away.
Jingming (BL1) meets Foot-Taiyang, Foot-Yangming, and Yinqiao Mai at the inner canthus, 0.1 cun away. Moxibustion is contraindicated.
