It is specifically used to treat Faback (back carbuncle), yongju (carbuncles and sores), external hemorrhoids, lower蛀 (anal fissures/fistulas), and various kinds of malignant ulcers and boils.
Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma), Heshouwu (Polygoni Multiflori Radix, peeled), Caowu (Aconiti Kusnezoffii Radix, peeled), Dangguiwei (Angelicae Sinensis Radix tail), Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix) (each half tael weight), Chuanwu (Aconiti Radix, peeled, two qian half weight).
Subsequently add: Huangdan (Lithargyrum) one tael weight (two taels in summer), Ruxiang (Olibanum), Moyao (Myrrha) half tael each, Xuejie (Dragon's Blood) half tael.
Grind all herbs into coarse powder, use five taels of clear oil, place together with the herbs into a diao (earthenware pot), simmer using gentle and strong fire alternately, until the herbs turn black. Strain through cloth to remove dregs.
Then gently boil the filtrate evenly; when dropped into water, it forms beads that do not disperse. Pour into a clay bowl, submerge in cold water, soak for one day and night to eliminate "fire toxicity." Use it for miraculous effects.
