There are six acupoints on the left and right sides in total.
Yangbai (GB14, Yang White): Two points. Located one cun above the eyebrow, directly opposite the pupil. It is the meeting point of the Foot-Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian and the Yangwei Vessel. It treats headache and eye pain, and excessive ocular discharge (mucous). Moxibustion: three moxa cones. Acupuncture: insert 0.3 cun; some sources say 0.2 cun.
Chengqi (ST1, Receiving Tears): Two points. Located 0.7 cun below the eye, in the depression directly opposite the pupil. It is the meeting point of the Qiao Mai (Heel Vessels), Ren Mai (Conception Vessel), and the Foot-Yangming Stomach Meridian. It treats blurred vision, cold tears flowing constantly, and redness and pain of the eyelids. Needling is contraindicated. If needled, it may cause discoloration of the eyeball (darkening of the eye). Moxibustion: three moxa cones, with cone size like a large barley grain. Contraindications follow general rules.
Sibai (ST2, Four Whites): Two points. Located one cun below the eye. It is where the Qi of the Foot-Yangming Stomach Meridian emerges. It treats headache, dizziness, and the formation of white nebulae (cataracts/opacities) in the eyes. Moxibustion: seven moxa cones. Acupuncture: insert 0.3 cun. When needling, one must be steady and cautious before inserting the needle. If inserted too deeply, it may cause discoloration of the eyeball (darkening of the eye).
There are eight acupoints on the left and right sides in total.
Benshen (GB13, Root Spirit): Two points. Located 1.5 cun lateral to Qucha (BL8), or another description states it is directly above the ear, entering the hairline by 0.4 cun. It is the meeting point of the Foot-Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian and the Yangwei Vessel. It treats dizziness, and stiffness and pain in the neck and nape. Acupuncture: insert 0.3 cun. Moxibustion: three moxa cones.
Sizhukong (TE23, Silk Bamboo Hollow): Two points. Also known as Mu [missing character]. Located in the depression at the posterior end of the eyebrow. It is where the Qi of the Foot-Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian emerges. Moxibustion is contraindicated. Unfortunate application of moxibustion may cause the eyes to become small or even lead to blindness. It treats dizziness, headache, redness of the eyes, vertigo/blurred vision, and entropion (inverted eyelashes). Acupuncture: insert 0.3 cun, retain for three breaths. The method should be reducing (Xie), not reinforcing (Bu).
Tongziliao (GB1, Pupil Corner): Two points. Located 0.5 cun lateral to the outer canthus of the eye. It is the meeting point of the Hand-Taiyang Small Intestine Meridian and the Foot-Shaoyang/Foot-Taiyang meridians (Note: Text says "Hand Taiyang, Foot Shao Yang", standard texts often include Foot Yangming here, but translating strictly based on source text context). It treats amaurosis (blindness), blurred distance vision, opacities or white membranes on the eye surface, headache, and redness and pain at the outer canthus. Moxibustion: three moxa cones. Acupuncture: insert 0.3 cun.
