When a woman reaches the age of thirty-four or thirty-five, her blood and qi, as well as the Spleen and Stomach functions, are both deficient. If during menstruation she sits or lies exposed to wind, failing to avoid wind-cold pathogens, cold evil enters the body, causing numbness throughout the body, wind invading the meridians, accompanied by coughing with phlegm. It is appropriate to administer Wuji Jiajiao San (Five Accumulations Mixed Powder) combined with Bawu Tang (Eight Substance Decoction) (formula see previous two entries in this section).
