During the seventh and eighth months of pregnancy, when the fetus grows larger and the mother fears difficult labor, Shu Tai Wan (Belly-Binding Pill) is suitable to support maternal Qi and contract the fetal body, facilitating easier delivery. However, it should only be taken if the fetal Qi is robust.
Furthermore, pregnant women often suffer from anxiety regarding difficult labor. By the seventh or eighth month, this fear intensifies, causing fetal unrest. Fear causes Qi to become timid; timidity leads to closure in the Upper Jiao (Upper Burner) and distension in the Lower Jiao (Lower Burner), obstructing Qi movement and resulting in difficult labor. Da Sheng San (Life-Reaching Powder) is suitable to widen and soothe the Qi.
Shu Tai Wan (Belly-Binding Pill)
Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, processed with wine, not too cooked: 5 qian in spring/winter, 7 qian in autumn, 1 liang in summer)

Add 1.5 zhong of water, decoct until 0.7 zhong remains, then take.
In the eighth and ninth months of pregnancy, if there is fetal restlessness, pain in the heart and abdomen, cyanosis and coldness of the face and eyes, sweating, and a faint pulse resembling impending death, this is caused by physical exertion injuring the uterus and fetus. Gouteng Tang (Uncaria Decoction) is suitable. If fetal restlessness is accompanied by vaginal bleeding, Jiao Ai Xiong Gui Tang (Donkey-Hide Gelatin, Mugwort, Chuanxiong, and Angelica Decoction) is suitable.
Gouteng Tang (Uncaria Decoction)

Difficult labor during pregnancy is mostly due to deficiency of Qi and Blood, and stagnation of Ying (Nutritive) and Wei (Defensive) Qi. Inducing labor forcibly is inadvisable; instead, harmonizing Qi and Blood is recommended. When Qi is sufficient and Blood is full, delivery will proceed without worry. For those constitutionally weak with inherently unstable fetal Qi, Wu Fu Yin (Five-Fortune Drink) should be taken regularly near term. For those with rebellious fetal Qi leading to dystocia at term, Bao Sheng Wu You San (Protect Life and Ensure Safety Powder) is suitable. For those with a history of difficult labor who wish to contract the fetus for easier birth, Da Sheng San (Life-Reaching Powder) is suitable. To ensure smooth delivery and effective induction, Zi Sheng Tang (Nourishing Life Decoction) and Fu Tai Yin (Fetus-Nourishing Drink) are considered miraculous formulas.

If started at seven months: take 1 dose in the 7th month, 2 doses in the 8th, 3 doses in the 9th, and 3-5 doses in the 10th month. Take one more dose upon onset of labor; the effect is miraculous.
