For deep fistulas, cure after 40 days of administration.
[Resolving Fistula/Cavity] Ci Pi Wan (Pill of Thorny Pear Skin - *Note: Text says 'Ci Pi', likely referring to Spina Gleditsiae or similar, but context implies skin-like material. Given 'Ci Pi' usually refers to Spina Gleditsiae, but here paired with Ivory, it might be a specific preparation. However, standard term is Ci Jia Pian. The text says 'Ci Pi'. I will translate as Thorny Pear Skin/Spina Gleditsiae Peel based on literal text, though clinically often refers to Gleditsia spine shell.* Correction: In TCM formulas for fistulas, 'Ci Jia' (Pangolin) or 'Ci Jia Pian' is common. 'Ci Pi' might be a typo for 'Ci Jia' or refer to a specific bark. Given 'Da Zhe Yi Zhang' (one large sheet), it resembles Pangolin scale or a specific bark. Let's stick to literal 'Thorny Skin/Peel' or assume 'Spina Gleditsiae'. Actually, looking at other ingredients like Ivory and Qingdai, this looks like a topical/internal mix for tissue regeneration. I will translate literally as 'Thorny Peel/Skin'). Ciji Pi (Large one piece, roasted crisp on new tile and ground), Xiangya (Ivory, 1 liang, ground), Qingdai (Indigo Naturalis, 3 qian), Huaimi (Fructus Sophorae, 1.5 liang), Chen Xi Cha (Aged Fine Tea, 5 qian), Lüdou Fen (Mung Bean Starch, 1 liang). Make pills with rice. Take 3 qian per dose, washed down with Jin Yin Hua (Lonicerae Japonicae Flos) decoction.
[Detoxifying] Imperial Bestowed Formula: Xiakucao (Prunellae Spica, 8 liang), Gancao Jie (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma nodes), Lianqiao (Forsythiae Fructus) (each 4 liang). Grind into powder. Make pills using strong decoction of 1 jin of Jin Yin Hua (Lonicerae Japonicae Flos), size of longan fruit. Take 3 qian each morning with salt water. For early stage, half a dosage cures; for chronic cases, one full dosage cures. This formula was bestowed by the Holy Ancestor (Emperor Kangxi) to Chen Shankai, Commander-in-Chief of Zhejiang.
[Cooling Blood and Generating Flesh] Proven Formula of the Founding Emperor: Xijiao Xie (Horn of Rhinoceros, shaved), Xiangya Xie (Ivory, shaved), Ruxiang (Olibanum), Moyao (Myrrha) (each 1 liang), Mingfan (Alumen), Huangla (Yellow Beeswax) (each 5 qian). Melt the beeswax in a copper vessel, add the powdered medicines, and form pills. Soak Lianqiao (Forsythiae Fructus) and Jin Yin Hua (Lonicerae Japonicae Flos) in wine, boil for half a day, then take the pills. Take 21 pills per dose. This is a proven formula of the Founding Emperor of Ming.
[Promoting Flesh Growth] Shengji Gao (Ointment for Generating Flesh): Jidanhuang (Egg Yolk, remove white, render oil to obtain 3 qian), Qingfen (Calomel, finely ground, 1 qian), Ruxiang (Olibanum), Xuexie (Draconis Sanguis), Longgu (Os Draconis/Fossilized Bones, finely ground) (each 5 fen). Mix evenly into the oil. Apply inside the wound hole daily with a chicken feather. Cover externally with plaster. The wound can heal in half a month.
[Resolving Fistula/Cavity] Touguan Fang (Formula for Penetrating Tubes): Place 4 liang of Mayou (Sesame Oil) in a pot. Add 4 eggs and a handful of women's hair. Cover the top. Simmer on low heat until the oil is dry and the hair has melted. Eat the eggs washed down with aged wine on an empty stomach, until slightly intoxicated. The fistula tract will naturally expel.
[General Treatment] Huaijiao Wan (Pill of Sophora Fruit): Huaijiao (Fructus Sophorae, stir-fried), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Diyu (Radix Sanguisorbae), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Zhike (Fructus Aurantii, stir-fried). Equal parts, grind into powder. Make pills with wine paste, size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take 60 pills per dose, washed down with rice water on an empty stomach. Extremely effective. Adding Wumei (Fructus Mume) is also excellent.
