Twelve Methods of Earth Punishment on Transport (i.e., situations in six Yin years and six Yang years)

1. Ren Zi Year: Ren indicates Wood Transport, Zi is a Yang year. At the time of Qi (vital energy) transport transition, if Yangming Metal Qi is in the Spring position (Di Quan), Metal comes to restrain Wood Transport, resulting in white dust rising everywhere. This upwardly receives the Qi of Wood Transport, causing the punitive Qi to weaken. This signifies that Earth's power is less than Heaven's command.

2. Ren Wu Year: Ren indicates Wood Transport, Wu is a Yang year. The timing of Qi transport transition follows the previous method. After the transitional Qi passes, Yangming Metal Qi frequently appears below with white gas. Each appearance restrains Wood Qi, but since Wood Qi is weak, it cannot be fully overcome; thus, Earth Qi surpasses Transport Qi.

3. Gui Chou Year: Gui indicates Fire Transport deficiency. The timing of Qi transport transition follows the previous description. Below, Taiyang Cold Water is in the Spring position. After the transport Qi passes, black gas frequently rises. Distant vision becomes dim, and upwardly restraining Fire Transport, its Qi is insufficient, leading to a loss of thermal transformation according to the season.

4. Gui Wei Year: Gui indicates Fire Transport deficiency. The timing of Qi transport transition follows the previous method. After the transport Qi passes, Earth Water comes to restrain, and black gas overcomes Fire Transport from the ground. Its Qi is insufficient, and the thermal transformation command decays by half.

5. Jia Yin Year: Jia indicates Earth Transport, which is excessive. After the numerical hours pass, when the unified Qi transport ends, Jueyin Wood Qi is seen below in the Spring position. Pale green dust rises everywhere; distant trees look like smoke, appearing greenish. Thus, Earth Qi frequently manifests, and the rainy/humid transformation of Earth loses its seasonal command.

6. Jia Shen Year: Corresponds to Jia Yin. It also encounters Jueyin Wood Qi in the Spring position below, restraining Earth Transport. The humid/rainy transformation is identical to Jia Yin, losing the command.

7. Yi Mao Year: Yi indicates Metal Transport deficiency. The numerical value reduces the climate as before. Upon reaching the end of the transport Qi, Shaoyin Ministerial Fire is encountered below in the Spring position. Heat steams from the earth, red gas ascends, and comes to restrain Metal Transport. Consequently, the dryness command is depleted, and heat transformation arises instead. This is a change in Earth transport.

8. Yi You Year: Metal transport follows the previous rule. Below, Shaoyin Ministerial Fire is encountered in the Spring position, restraining Metal Transport upwards. The dryness command is depleted, and heat command arises instead, just like in Yi Mao year.

9. Bing Chen Year: Bing indicates Water Transport. Below, Taiyin Earth is encountered in the Spring position. When the transport command and climate arrive, following the method for excess, after passing, yellow stagnant gas causes haze far and wide. Earth comes to restrain Water. Thus, the cold command turns warm, and winter experiences light rain.

10. Bing Xu Year: Bing indicates Water Transport. Below, Taiyin Earth is encountered in the Spring position. When the transport Qi arrives, strictly following the previous method, Earth Qi is below and restrains Cold Transformation upwards, just like the command in Bing Chen year.

11. Yi Si Year: Yi indicates Metal Transport. The observation method and timing are the same as before. After the transport ends, Shaoyang Ministerial Fire is encountered below in the Spring position. Heat acts on the earth, and Earth Qi steams, illuminating the suburbs. Thus, Metal Transport loses its correctness and transforms into Fire.

12. Yi Hai Year: Yi indicates Metal Transport. The method of arrival and observation is exactly as previously stated. Based on the previous method, below it encounters Ministerial Fire. Fire overcomes Metal Transport, generating heat command. In six Yang years, the overcoming is slight; in six Yin years, it is severe.

Ten Methods of Intermittent Punishment on Transport

1. Yi Si Year: Middle Metal Transport. The number follows the Yin year transport transition time. Seeing white gas and red gas arriving together indicates Fire-overcoming Qi. If red gas arrives next, it is the Left Interstitial Qi, Shaoyin Ministerial Fire, which subsequently restrains the deficiency of Metal.

2. Gui Si Year: The number follows the Yin year transport transition time. Seeing black gas and red gas arriving together indicates Water coming to overcome. If black gas arrives next, it is Taiyang Water as the Right Interstitial Qi.

3. Bing Zi Year: The number follows the Yang year. Yang year Qi has no distinct color. Only seeing the previous Bing Wu red gas finish, then black gas from Bing to Zi, and now yellow gas arriving from itself indicates the Void of Heaven in Counter-Transformation, where Left Taiyin Earth Qi comes as interstitial Qi. Although interstitial Qi governs Tian (Heaven), it also comes as interstitial transport. Punishment arrives immediately.

4. Jia Zi Year: The number follows the Yang year transport transition time. Seeing yellow gas from Jia to Zi. Now, green gas arrives next, which is the Left Interstitial Qi, Jueyin Wood, punishing Wood Transport. Since Earth is South-Central, Wood is on the Left.

5. Yi Mao Year: The number is the same as Yin year transport transition time. First, white gas and red gas arrive together, indicating Fire overcoming Metal. If red gas arrives next, it is the Right Interstitial Qi, Ministerial Fire.

6. Gui Mao Year: The number follows the Yin year transport transition time. First, red gas contains black gas arriving together, indicating Water overcoming Fire. If black gas arrives next, it is the Left Interstitial Qi, Taiyang Water.

7. Yi Chou Year: The number follows the Yin year transport transition time. First, red gas and white gas arrive together, indicating Fire overcoming Metal. If red gas arrives next, it is the Left Interstitial Qi, Ministerial Fire, punishing Metal.

8. In these eight cases, if Ministerial Fire is the Right Interstitial Qi, the Left does not come if the Right does not come, and vice versa. Therefore, one year is established separately, hence named "one number" totaling eight.

9. Ren Shen Year: The number follows the Yang year transport transition time. If white gas arrives late as in Yin years, this is Yangming Left Interstitial Qi punishing Wood Transport.

10. Bing Shen Year: The number follows the Yang year transport transition time. After black gas passes, yellow gas appears as in Yin years. This is the Right Interstitial Qi, Taiyin Earth, punishing Water Transport.

Five Methods of Guest Punishment on Transport

1. When Wood Transport is deficient and Metal overcomes, followed by Guest Qi arriving, it is called Resident Qi, also known as Small Interstitial Qi. Observing the time, its Qi comes from the side. Although the color is small, it crosses horizontally through the Transport. This is Guest Qi. If there is overcoming, it does not come; if no overcoming, it arrives. This is small white gas crossing Wood Transport.

2. When Fire Transport is deficient and Water overcomes, accompanied by Guest Qi, Taiyang arrives to reside. Black gas crosses horizontally through Fire Qi.

3. When Earth Transport is deficient, Wood Qi arrives together. Jueyin arrives to reside. Green gas crosses horizontally through Earth Qi.

4. When Metal Transport is deficient, Fire Qi arrives together. Ministerial Fire arrives to reside. Red gas crosses horizontally through White gas. Ministerial Fire is the same, associated with Wu.

5. When Water Transport is deficient, Yellow Qi arrives together. Taiyin arrives to reside. Yellow gas crosses through Black gas.

Six Methods of Heavenly符 (Tian Fu) Overcoming Transport (Previously in Ping Qi [Neutral Qi], there were six Tian Fu encountered in Yin years, distinct from these six Sheng Tian Fu [Overcoming Heavenly符])

1. Wu Zi Year: Fire Transport is excessive. The number follows the Yang year. Red gas extends from Wu to Zi, shining brightly. Heaven has red gas combining above, harmonizing virtue with Shaoyin Ministerial Fire. Speaking of Sheng Tian Fu means self-overcoming, thereby punishing Metal command.

2. Wu Wu Year: Similarly. Fire Transport is excessive. The number follows the Yang year. Red gas extends from Wu to Wu. Heaven has red gas combining, harmonizing virtue with Shaoyin Ministerial Fire above. When their Qi combines, if the sky has no clouds, it all auspiciously signifies victory. Hence named "Sheng" (Victory).

3. Wu Yin Year: Fire Transport is excessive, combining victory with Shaoyang Ministerial Fire above, different from the benevolence of Ministerial Fire. If Fire is too excessive, all things scorch and wither, metals flow and stones melt, waves boil, shell-dwelling creatures die prematurely, and people suffer from wheezing and coughing.

4. Wu Shen Year: Fire Transport is excessive, combining victory with Shaoyang Ministerial Fire above. When victory arrives, it becomes severe. Metal loses correctness, leading to distress. Ultimately, without Water to restore, it expresses self-victory. When extreme, all things scorch and wither, and Bai Tai (Venus) becomes small.

5. Bing Xu Year: Water Transport is excessive, encountering Taiyang Cold Water governing Tian (Heaven) above. The two Qi of Heaven and Transport combine. Thus, summer commands turn cold, and winter becomes biting cold. If cold numbers act as sunlight without treatment, it leads to severity. Then Earth does not come to restore, expressing victory. Ying Huo (Mars) loses color, feathered creatures die prematurely.

6. Bing Chen Year: Water Transport is excessive, combining command with Taiyang Cold Water above. The two Qi harmonize virtue, assisting with Guest Qi. Hail arrives suddenly, cold wind presses, Earth Qi is chilling, Heaven Qi condenses, Human Qi gathers, becoming piercingly cold. Earth does not come to restore, red qi and crimson clouds are completely invisible.

Four Methods of Tai Yi Tian Fu Transport (i.e., the Triple Harmony of Heaven, Earth, and Transport)

1. Wu Wu Year: Shaoyin Ministerial Fire governs Tian above, Middle Fire Transport is excessive. Wu belongs to the South Li position of Fire, hence named Tai Yi Tian Fu Triple Harmony. Number adds sixteen. Wu is Li, its number is nine. Fire Transport excessive, its number is seven-seven. Nine plus sixteen equals twenty-five? (Text says 9+7+7=23? Text says "Seven seven nine total sixteen"). At transport transition, face Wu and gaze at red gas radiance. Heaven has red gas combining. Under this transport, nobles must be born.

2. Yi You Year: Yangming Metal governs Tian above, Middle Metal Transport is deficient. Tian Fu is neutral. You belongs to West Dui corresponding to Metal, hence named Triple Harmony. Number marks year minus seven, transport plus seven. At transport transition, face Chen and gaze at white gas from Yi to You. Heaven has white gas combining. People born under this transport at that time will become famous generals.

3. Ji Wei Year: Taiyin Earth governs Tian above, Middle Earth Transport is deficient. Tian Fu is neutral year. Wei is Kun Earth. Number adds five, subtracts five. At transport transition, from Ji to Wei, yellow gas radiates. Heaven has yellow gas combining. Under this transport, famous ministers will be born.

4. Ji Chou Year: Taiyin Earth governs Tian above, Middle Earth Transport is deficient. Tian Fu is neutral year. Chou is Central Earth, hence named Triple Harmony. Number adds five, subtracts five. At transport transition, from Ji to Chou, yellow gas radiates. Heaven has yellow gas combining. Under this transport, prime ministers will be born. (These four Tai Yi Tian Fu signify the birth of nobles.)

Four Methods of Same Tian Fu

Shaoyin governs Tian in Zi and Wu; Wu year is Same Tian Fu, one. Yangming governs Tian in Mao and You; You year is Same Tian Fu, two. Taiyin governs Tian in Chou and Wei; Chou and Wei are both Same Tian Fu, four. Observing transport methods, these four years meet in the previous Neutral Qi, already explained similarly here.

Twelve Methods of Same Sui Hui Transport

1. Geng Zi Year: Metal Transport. Below sees Yangming Metal in Di Quan (Spring). Earth raises white gas to assist the victory of Metal Transport.

2. Geng Wu Year: Metal Transport. Below sees Yangming Metal in Di Quan. Earth raises white gas to assist the victory of Metal Transport.

3. Gui Chou Year: Water Transport. Below sees Taiyang Water in Di Quan. Earth emits black gas to assist the victory of Water Transport.

4. Gui Wei Year: Water Transport. Below sees Taiyang Water in Di Quan. Earth emits black gas to assist the victory of Water Transport.

5. Ren Yin Year: Wood Transport. Below sees Jueyin Wood in Di Quan. Earth emits pale green dust to assist the victory of Wood Transport.

6. Ren Shen Year: Wood Transport. Below sees Jueyin Wood in Di Quan. Earth emits pale green dust to assist the victory of Wood Transport.

7. Gui Mao Year: Fire Transport. Below sees Shaoyin Ministerial Fire in Di Quan. Earth emits red gas to assist the victory of Fire Transport.

8. Gui You Year: Fire Transport. Below sees Shaoyin Ministerial Fire in Di Quan. Earth emits red gas to assist the victory of Fire Transport.

9. Jia Chen Year: Earth Transport. Below sees Taiyin Earth in Di Quan. Earth emits yellow dust to assist the victory of Earth Transport.

10. Jia Xu Year: Earth Transport. Below sees Taiyin Earth in Di Quan. Earth emits yellow dust to assist the victory of Earth Transport.

11. Gui Si Year: Fire Transport. Below sees Shaoyang Ministerial Fire in Di Quan. Earth steams red gas, illuminating suburbs at night, to assist the victory of Fire Transport.

12. Gui Hai Year: Fire Transport. Below sees Shaoyang Ministerial Fire in Di Quan. Earth steams red gas, illuminating suburbs at night, fire seen outside suburbs, to assist the victory of Fire Transport.

Five Methods of Heavenly Depression Transport

1. In a Wood Transport year, if Metal governs Tian above, Heaven restrains it, and Transport cannot overcome. In the next Yin year, the governing Tian has retired, but Transport Wood has not yet arrived. Wood is depressed and stagnant Qi transforms into green gas. Disaster approaches the world, causing people to suffer sudden stroke and violent death.

2. In a Fire Transport year, if Water governs Tian above, Heaven depresses it, and Transport cannot overcome. In the next Yin year, transport transition is late, Heaven Qi has retreated, but Fire is depressed and stagnant Qi rushes out into the world, causing disease. People suffer irritability, fright, red urine, sores, ulcers, and pustules.

3. In an Earth Transport year, if Jueyin Wood governs Tian above, Heaven depresses it, and Transport cannot overcome. In the next Yin year, Heaven Qi has retreated, but Transport has not arrived. Earth is depressed and stagnant Qi rushes out into the world, causing disease. People suffer swelling, fullness, jaundice, abdominal distension with water accumulation, slippery diarrhea, and inability to move limbs.

4. In a Metal Transport year, if Ministerial or Sovereign Fire governs Tian above, Heaven depresses it, and Transport cannot overcome. In the next Yin year, Heaven Qi has retreated, but Transport has not arrived. Metal is depressed and stagnant Qi scatters into the world, causing disease. People suffer fullness and obstruction in limbs, muscle cramps, painful urination, difficult urination, dryness in upper abdomen, eye closure, mood swings, pale face, sadness, and overthinking.

5. In a Water Transport year, if Taiyin Earth governs Tian above, Heaven depresses it, and Transport cannot overcome. After Heaven Qi retreats and Transport has not arrived, Water is depressed and stagnant Qi scatters into the world, causing disease. People suffer flaccidity, paralysis, Qi obstruction, heart issues with rapid diarrhea, undigested food, and lower abdominal fullness and pain.

Five Methods of Heavenly Killing Transport

1. When Wood Transport is excessive, it arrives early, and its Qi is surplus. If Yangming Metal governs Tian above, and Heaven Qi has not retreated, Heaven Metal restrains it. Wood does not submit, transforming into thunder sounds, causing disease among people. Hence named Heavenly Killing. People suffer chronic diseases moving, plants bloom early, but heaven sends frost to kill them again. People suffer irritability, constipation/fullness, thirst, drinking, and delirious speech.

2. When Fire Transport is excessive, it arrives early, and its Qi is surplus. If Taiyang Water governs Tian above, and Heaven Qi has not retreated, Heaven Water restrains it. Fire does not submit, transforming into sudden heat and hail. Hence named Heavenly Killing. Causing disease among people, all die suddenly. Alternating chills and fever, epigastric and abdominal fullness, dry throat, and blocked chest/throat.

3. When Earth Transport is excessive, Earth Qi arrives early, and its Qi is surplus. If Jueyin Wood governs Tian above, and Heaven Qi has not retreated, Heaven Wood restrains it. Earth does not submit, transforming into fog, haze, fine drizzle, followed by strong winds destroying everything. Hence named Heavenly Killing. Causing disease among people, limb fullness, swelling, dampness, jaundice, edema, and anorexia.

4. When Metal Transport is excessive, Metal Qi arrives early, and its Qi is surplus. If Sovereign or Ministerial Fire governs Tian above, Heaven descends to restrain, and Metal Qi does not submit. It transforms into pine needles sounding like flutes, tiger roars, ape cries, and whistling winds. Hence named Heavenly Killing. Causing disease among people, all suffer irritability, tooth/throat thirst, drinking water, scorched hair, wheezing, and coughing.

5. When Water Transport is excessive, Water Qi arrives early, and its Qi is surplus. If Taiyin Earth governs Tian above, and Heaven Qi has not retreated, Earth descends to restrain, and Water does not submit. It transforms into snow and rain mixing, with Yin not dispersing. Hence named Heavenly Killing. Causing disease among people, bone flaccidity, sore shins, impotence, urinary incontinence, limb closure/paralysis, joint pain in hands/feet, and lower abdominal fullness.
