Treating sores that ulcerate extending to the chest, with lumps under both armpits the size of eggplants, or radiating to both shoulders, persisting for four or five years without cure. All can be treated, with effects as if divine. Passed down by Zhu Shouren of Wujin County, Changzhou Prefecture. The patient's neck cannot turn back; within a few days, it can be reduced. Initially, when looking at sores ulcerated and broken on the chest, use the lower section of Jingjie root (Schizonepeta Root). Crush and boil until bubbling. Wait until warm, then wash the sore. After a while, observe the ulcerated area turning purple-black. Use a needle to prick each spot to bleed. Wash again three or four times.
Use high-quality pure sesame oil to grind Zhangnao (Borneol) and Xionghuang (Realgar) into a fine powder. Mix with oil. Sweep onto the sore with a chicken feather to drain pus. Wash again the next day, still applying the previous medicine with the feather. On the third day, use earthworm feces from leek fields. Collect at dawn (wugeng). Form into round pills the size of a tiger's mouth. Burn red over charcoal fire. Remove and grind cleanly into powder. For each pill, add Ruxiang (Frankincense), Moyao (Myrrh), and Qingfen (Calomel), each slightly less than half a qian. Add Jiashanchanjia (Pangolin Scales), nine pieces, burned red and ground into powder. Mix with sesame oil and apply to the affected area. Its wonder is like magic.
