(There are forty-two acupoints on both sides combined.)
The *Jingmai Pian* (Chapter on Meridians) states: The meridian of Hand-Yangming Large Intestine originates at the radial tip of the index finger. [Shangyang LI-1] It follows the radial border of the finger, passing through [Erjian LI-2 and Sanjian LI-3], and emerges between the first and second metacarpal bones at Hegu LI-4. It ascends into the depression between the two bones [Yangxi LI-5], follows the radial border of the forearm, passing through Pianli LI-6, Wenliu LI-7, Xialian LI-8, Shanglian LI-9, and Sanli LI-10. It enters the lateral border of the elbow [Quchi LI-11]. It ascends along the anterolateral border of the upper arm, passing through Zhouliao LI-12, Wuli LI-13, and Binao LI-14. It reaches the shoulder, emerging anterior to the lateral border of the scapula [Jianyu LI-15]. It ascends to emerge at the junction of the vertebral column where the Yang meridians converge [Jugu BL-1 and Bingfeng GB-12]. It descends into the supraclavicular fossa [Tianding LI-16], connects with the Lung, descends through the diaphragm, and belongs to the Large Intestine. Its branch arises from the supraclavicular fossa, ascends to the neck [Futu LI-18], passes through the cheek, and enters the lower teeth. It returns to emerge alongside the mouth [Dicang ST-4], crosses at the Renzhong point (人中), with the left side connecting to the right and the right to the left [Heliao LI-19]. It ascends flanking the nostrils [Yingxiang LI-20].
It is also stated: The collateral vessel of the Hand-Yangming meridian is named Pianli (LI-6). Located three cun distal to the wrist crease, it branches off to connect with the Taiyin Lung meridian. Its branch ascends along the arm, traverses the shoulder, reaches the submandibular region, and distributes obliquely to the teeth. Another branch enters the ear and merges with the Zong Mai (Master Vessel).
The *Qifu Lun* (Chapter on Qi Orifices) states: There are twenty-two acupoints where the Qi of the Hand-Yangming meridian emerges. Two points on each side at the lateral margin of the nasal cavity (the secondary annotation identifies these as Yingxiang LI-20 and Futu LI-18). One point at each side in the bone hollow at Daying ST-5 (Daying is the acupoint name). One point at each side at the convergence of the vertebral column (referring to Tianding LI-16 on both sides). One point at each side at the convergence of Jianyu LI-15 (referring to Jianyu LI-15 on both sides). Six Shu points from the elbow down to the radial tip of the index finger (referring to Sanli LI-10, Yangxi LI-5, Hegu LI-4, Sanjian LI-3, Erjian LI-2, and Shangyang LI-1, totaling six points).
The *Jingbie Pian* (Chapter on Extraordinary Connections) states: The regular pathway of Hand-Yangming proceeds from the hand along the chest and breast, branches off at Jianyu LI-15, enters the vertebral column, descends to the Large Intestine, and connects with the Lung. It ascends along the throat, emerges from the supraclavicular fossa, and merges with the Yangming meridian. The *Jingjin Pian* (Chapter on Sinew Meridians) states: The sinew meridian of Hand-Yangming originates at the tips of the index and middle fingers, knots at the wrist, ascends along the arm, knots at the lateral elbow, and ascends to knot at Jianyu LI-15. Its branch surrounds the scapula and flanks the spine. The straight portion ascends from Jianyu LI-15 to the neck. Its branch ascends to the cheek and knots at the zygomatic bone. The straight portion ascends anterior to the Hand-Taiyang meridian, reaches the left frontal angle, connects with the head, and descends to the right mandible.
Shangyang LI-1 (Jing-Well point, where Qi emerges); Erjian LI-2 (Ying-Spring point, where Qi flows; *Tongren Jing* writes "flows" which is incorrect); Sanjian LI-3 (Shu-Stream point, where Qi is injected); Hegu LI-4 (Yuan-Source point, where Qi passes); Yangxi LI-5 (Jing-River point, where Qi travels); Pianli LI-6 (Luo-Connecting point, branching to Taiyin); Wenliu LI-7 (Xi-Cleft point); Xialian LI-8 and Shanglian LI-9 (Meeting point of Diyang; *Waitai Mi Yao* writes "Meeting of Yangming"); Sanli LI-10 and Quchi LI-11 (He-Sea point, where Qi enters); Zhouliao LI-12, Wuli LI-13, and Binao LI-14 (Meeting of Yangming collaterals; *Zhenjiu Ju Ying* writes "Meeting of Hand-Foot Taiyang and Yangwei"); Jianliao TE-14 (Luo point; *Qifu Lun* states it is a meeting of Hand-Shaoyang; secondary annotation says it is a meeting of Qi of Hand-Yangming and Shaoyang collaterals; *Zhenjiu Ju Ying* says it is a meeting of Yangwei); Jianyu LI-15 (Meeting of Qiao vessels; *Zhenjiu Ju Ying* says it is a meeting of Foot-Shaoyang and Yangqiao); Jugu BL-1 (Same as above); Tianding LI-16 (Where Qi emerges); Futu LI-18 (Same as above); Heliao LI-19 (Same as above); Yingxiang LI-20 (Meeting of Hand and Foot Yangming; *Qifu Lun* states it is where Hand-Yangming Qi emerges; secondary annotation refers to Yingxiang and Futu).
According to *Qianjin Fang*, there is no Jianliao TE-14 (classified under Hand-Taiyin Lung meridian), and *Fa Hui* agrees (classified under Hand-Shaoyang Sanjiao meridian). *Waitai Mi Yao* records: Forty-two acupoints on both sides plus three single acupoints below, totaling forty-five acupoints. It excludes Yingxiang LI-20 (classified under Foot-Yangming Stomach meridian), but includes Jianliao TE-14 (Hand-Shaoyang Sanjiao meridian), Duiduan GV-26, Yinjiao GV-28, and Shuigou GV-26 (collectively belonging to the Du meridian). *Jia Yi Jing* states that Duiduan GV-26 is where the Qi of the Hand-Yangming meridian emerges.
