(The Shaofu, also known as the Xiaofu or lower Jiao) is the intersection of the Foot-Jueyin Liver Meridian and the Ren Mai (Conception Vessel). (*Ling Shu* states: The meridian of the Foot-Jueyin passes through the genitalia and reaches the Shaofu. It further states: In cases of Liver distension, there is fullness under the hypochondrium with pain radiating to the Shaofu. Additionally, if the Shaofu is full and enlarged, extending upwards to the stomach and heart, accompanied by chills and fever, and difficult urination, one should select points from the Foot-Jueyin. *Su Wen* states: In Jueyin Jue syndrome, there is swelling and pain in the Shaofu, abdominal distension, and difficulty in passing urine and stool. It also states: Malaria affecting the Foot-Jueyin causes lower back pain, fullness in the Shaofu, and urinary difficulty resembling Gong syndrome. Li Dongyuan stated: Pain in the Shaofu belongs to the Jueyin; severe cases are treated with Zhengyang San or Huiyang Tang, while mild cases are treated with Danggui Sini Tang. Wang Haicang stated: Yanhusuo is effective for treating Heart Qi pain and Shaofu pain, as it enters the Foot-Jueyin.) It also belongs to the Hand-Taiyang Small Intestine Meridian and the Foot-Taiyang Bladder Meridian (*Ling Shu* states: Small Intestine distension presents with Shaofu distension and pain radiating to the waist. Bladder distension presents with Shaofu fullness and Qi stagnation leading to urinary retention. Furthermore, Small Intestine disease manifests as Shaofu fullness and pain, lower back and spine pain radiating to the testicles, frequent urgency to defecate, and heat in front of the ears. If the cold is severe, or if there is heat in the shoulder or between the little finger and the ring finger. Bladder disease manifests as unilateral swelling and pain in the Shaofu; upon palpation, there is an urge to urinate but inability to do so, accompanied by heat in the shoulder. It also states: Shaofu pain and swelling with inability to urinate indicates pathogenic factors constrained in the Triple Burner. Treatment involves selecting the large Luo-connecting vessels of the Taiyang, observing the collaterals for blood stasis where they intersect with the small collaterals of the Jueyin. Gu Yingbai stated: Constrained Triple Burner pathology essentially refers to Bladder pathology; thus, the classics state that Triple Burner disease presents with abdominal fullness, particularly firmness in the Shaofu, inability to urinate, and frequent urgency, with overflow causing water leakage. These are all diseases of the Small Intestine and Bladder. Essentially, the Small Intestine is the source of the Bladder, and the Bladder is the termination of the Small Intestine. Since the Heart and Small Intestine are exterior-interior pairs, the Pericardium and Triple Burner are also exterior-interior pairs. The texts often mention the Bladder and Triple Burner together, implying no separate "Triple Burner organ" exists beyond this relationship.) It also belongs to the Foot-Shaoyin Kidney Meridian and the Foot-Taiyin Spleen Meridian (*Su Wen* states: When the black pulse arrives, being firm and large at the upper position, it indicates accumulated Qi in the Shaofu and Yin region, a condition named Shen Bi (Kidney Bi), caused by bathing in cold water and lying down. Note: Qing refers to cold. It also states: Pathogenic factors invading the Luo-connecting vessel of the Foot-Taiyin cause lower back pain radiating to the Shaofu and the lumbar-sacral region, making supine breathing difficult. *Ling Shu* states: Following physical trauma with excessive bleeding, contraction of wind-cold, or falls resulting in limbs that are flaccid and unable to hold themselves, termed Ti Duo (Body Languor), treatment involves selecting points at the Shaofu, umbilicus, and Sanjiao Jie (Three Crossings Intersection). Sanjiao Jie refers to the intersection of the Yangming and Taiyin meridians).
