秘录
Changpi (intestinal pathology) leads to hemorrhoids. It is like a small mountain protruding from a large marsh, forming hemorrhoids. Any small fleshy protrusion in the nine orifices of the human body is called hemorrhoid, not only those growing at the anus. There are also nasal hemorrhoids, ocular hemorrhoids, and dental hemorrhoids, etc. Their manifestations vary. Formulas are classified into five types: named Mu Hemorrhoids (Male Hemorrhoids), Pin Hemorrhoids (Female Hemorrhoids), Gua Hemorrhoids, Chang Hemorrhoids (Intestinal Hemorrhoids), and Qi Hemorrhoids (Qi-related Hemorrhoids). Pin Hemorrhoids occur as sores at the anal verge with swelling and protrusion, occurring several times a day, dissipating after pus rupture; Mu Hemorrhoids manifest as exposed fleshy nodules resembling mouse milk at the anal verge, frequently dripping pus and blood; Gua Hemorrhoids present as granular hyperplasia at the rectal opening, accompanied by pain and itching, with dripping blood; Chang Hemorrhoids involve intrarectal nodules with bleeding, alternating chills and fever, and prolapse during defecation; Qi Hemorrhoids flare up upon fear or anger, causing anal swelling and pain, resolving when Qi disperses; there is also Jiu Hemorrhoids (Alcohol-induced Hemorrhoids), which trigger upon drinking alcohol, causing sore swelling and bleeding; Xue Hemorrhoids (Blood Hemorrhoids) involve continuous bleeding during defecation, treated primarily by clearing heat, regulating blood, and smoothing Qi. If untreated for a long time, it will inevitably perforate and become a fistula.
Oil Medicine for Treating Hemorrhoids:
Suhe Oil (Styrax Oil) 5 fen, Xiong Dan (Bear Bile) 5 fen, two fresh chicken eggs (using the egg white, fried into oil).
Mix the three ingredients evenly and apply externally for miraculous effect. A patient surnamed Zhao, suffering from severe hemorrhoids nearing death, was cured immediately using this prescription. (From *Lingmi Danshan*)
Medicated Water:
Pian Nao (Borneol) 1 fen, Pu Xiao (Mirabilite) 5 fen, Xiong Dan (Bear Bile) 3 fen, Wo Niu (Snail) 10 liang, Luo Rou (Conch Meat) 10 liang, Gan Lan He (Olive Pit, burnt to ash) 5 qian.
Pound into a paste, mix with medicine, soak overnight, take the water and medicinal residue to apply to the sore, ensuring no recurrence. (Same source)
Hemorrhoidal Fistula:
Xi Jiao (Rhinoceros Horn) powder, Xiang Ya (Elephant Tusk) powder each 1 liang, Ru Xiang (Frankincense) 1 liang, Mo Yao (Myrrh) 1 liang, Ming Fan (Alum) 5 qian, Huang Zhan (Yellow Beeswax) 5 qian.
Melt the beeswax in a copper vessel, add the medicines, and roll into pills the size of a Chinese quince seed. Store Lian Qiao (Forsythia Fruit) and Jin Yin Hua (Honeysuckle Flower) in a bottle, decoct with good wine for half a day, strain, and take 20 pills with wine.
Another formula uses Hu Lian (Coptis Rhizome) 1 liang (powdered), Jia Pian (Pangolin Scales, fried in sesame oil), Shi Jue Ming (Abalone Shell), and Huai Hua (Sophora Flower, stir-fried) each 5 qian, formed into honey pills. Take once in the morning and once in the evening.
Another formula uses Qing Tai (Green Moss, growing on bluestone), baked and powdered, mixed with a small amount of raw alum, and ground again for use. First, boil one handful of Wa Hua (Tile Flower) in water until boiling, add one bowl of Yan Lu (Salt Brine), sit in the bath to wash, the hemorrhoids will gradually shrink. Wipe dry, then apply the medicine. Pain will occur three or four times before healing, with no recurrence thereafter. (From *Waike Milu*)
