Ren Shen (Ginseng Radix) 2 qian, Huang Qi (Astragali Radix) 3 qian, Gan Cao (Licorice Radix and Rhizoma) 1 qian, Rou Gui (Cinnamomi Cortex) (use 2-3 fen in spring and summer, 6-7 fen in autumn and winter).
Crush the above herbs, add two zhong of water, decoct until six-tenths remains, remove the dregs, and take warm.
Yuan Qi (Primordial Qi) is the qi inherent before birth. This formula does not use methods to ascend, descend, astringe, or drain, but merely maintains and protects it; hence it is called "Bao Yuan" (Protecting Primordial Qi). Wei Guiyan stated... [Text fragmentary]
Lu Rong (Cervi Cornu Pantotrichum) (prepared with wine, hair removed) 3 qian, Ren Shen (Ginseng Radix) 1.2 qian, Mian Huang Qi (Astragali Radix prepared with honey) 1.5 qian, Dang Gui Shen (Angelicae Sinensis Radix Body) (washed with wine) 1.5 fen.
Decoct the above with water, remove the dregs, add one cup of pure wine, and take warm.
Lu Rong Tang (Deer Horn Decoction) is a formula for elevating pustule fluid; form manifests through Qi, toxins are carried in Blood. The formation of pustule fluid must rely on sufficient Qi to lead the Blood and carry toxins out, allowing the pustules to mature. The *Jin Jing Lu* states: "If the head and face appear dark and waxy yellow, do not panic," which refers to this situation? If, before taking this decoction, the body's pox color is white without red halos at the roots, and the fluid in the head and face gradually turns waxy yellow, this may indicate heavy toxin frozen by cold. One should examine carefully and never use lightly. For Ren Shen, Huang Qi, and Lu Rong can also lift toxins to the chest, leading to death from rebellious Qi; this cannot be ignored.
Mu Xiang (Aucklandiae Radix), Ding Xiang (Caryophylli Flos), Gui Xin (Cinnamomi Ramulus), He Zi (Terminalia Chebulae Fructus), Ren Shen (Ginseng Radix), Ban Xia (Pinelliae Rhizoma), Qing Pi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Viride), Gan Cao (Licorice Radix and Rhizoma), Qian Hu (Peucedani Radix), Da Fu Pi (Arecae Pericarpium), Chi Fu Ling (Poria with Red Heart) in equal parts.
Take 5 qian per dose, add three slices of fresh ginger, one zhong of water, decoct until six-tenths remains, and take warm.
Mu Xiang San (Aucklandia Powder) is a formula for the Hand-Taiyin Lung and Hand-Yangming Large Intestine meridians. When Lung Qi is deficient on the exterior, it transforms into cold-dryness; toxin sinking causes diarrhea. Interior deficiency reveals exterior signs; white pox must turn gray, and gray pox must sink... [Text fragmentary]

Yi Gong San (Extraordinary Efficacy Powder) is a formula treating interior deficiency of the Spleen and Kidney. When the Spleen fails to elevate pustule fluid, it transforms into cold-dampness; interior deficiency causes diarrhea, and toxins become trapped. Although the head is warm, the feet are cold...
