Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma) one sheng, Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens) half a jin.
Take the above two ingredients, add seven sheng of water, decoct to obtain one and a half sheng, and take warm in two divided doses.
Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma) one sheng, Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens) half a jin, Fuling (Poria) three liang (another method uses four liang).
Take the above three ingredients, add seven sheng of water, decoct to obtain one sheng and five he, and take warm in two divided doses.
Fuling (Poria), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma) each three liang, Zhishi (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus) two liang, Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium) two and a half liang, Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens) four liang.
Take the above six ingredients, add six sheng of water, decoct to obtain one sheng and eight he, and take warm in three divided doses. Administer if the patient has walked for about eight or nine li.
These three formulas are all small-dose prescriptions, establishing treatment methods for Phlegm-Fluids (Tan Yin) based on the Spleen and Stomach meridians. Generally, when fluid retention exists in the collateral vessels of the Stomach, it causes rebellious Stomach Qi leading to vomiting without thirst; the main treatment is... spread over... if... Waitai Fuling Yin (External Cabinet Poria Decoction) takes the Four Gentlemen Decoction (Sijunzi Tang) for its function of regulating primal Qi and assisting transformation, adding Zhishi (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus) and Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium) to direct Qi downward and eliminate phlegm, specifically treating Spleen meridian diseases with effects extending to the Stomach.
The latter formula is a method for simultaneous treatment of Phlegm and Fluids. Citing these three cases, the treatment of Phlegm-Fluids can be inferred by analogy.
Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma) two sheng (use after washing), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma) three liang, Baimi (Meli Mel) one sheng.
Take the above three ingredients, add twelve dou of water, mix with honey and stir/whisk two hundred and forty times, then decoct the herbs to obtain two and a half sheng, take one sheng warm, and take the remainder in two divided doses.
Dabanxia Tang (Major Pinellia Decoction) is a medication that unblocks and tonifies the Stomach Fu organ. The sweetness of Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma) and Baimi (Meli Mel) is denser than the pungency of Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma), thereby able to simultaneously tonify the Spleen Zang organ, hence naming this formula as... who... Renshen supports... Stomach Qi.
Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium) four liang, Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens) half a jin.
Take the above two ingredients, add seven sheng of water, decoct to obtain three sheng, take one sheng warm, and it will heal immediately upon swallowing.
Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium) two jin, Zhuru (Bambusae Caulis in Taeniam) two sheng, Dazao (Jujubae Fructus) thirty pieces, Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens) half a jin, Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) five liang, Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma) one liang.
Take the above six ingredients, add one dou of water, decoct to obtain three sheng, take one sheng warm, three times a day.
Chenpi Tang (Tangerine Peel Decoction) treats vomiting and hiccups; Chenpi Zhuru Tang (Tangerine Peel and Bamboo Shavings Decoction) treats hiccupping. Vomiting involves opening the mouth with substance and sound; hiccupping involves pursing the mouth with sound but no substance. If vomiting and hiccupping four... stop. Middle deficiency... refers to disease...
