Regardless of the volume, typically two buckets constitute one "dan" (a unit of measure). First, use clear water and a strong decoction of Gleditsia Sinensis Fruit (Saojiao) juice. Strain the residue using cloth. For every one "dan" (two buckets) of urine, add one "zhan" (a unit of measure) of Sijiao juice, and stir vigorously with a bamboo spatula until it has been stirred hundreds or thousands of times. Continue until the urine becomes clear, and the turbid white sediment settles at the bottom. Then, slowly skim off and discard the clear supernatant. Only collect the turbid sediment at the bottom, combining them into one full bucket. Stir again with a bamboo spatula for over a hundred turns, wait for clarification, and once more discard the clear liquid. Processing ten to twenty "dan"s of urine yields only one or two "dou" (a unit of measure) of concentrated sediment. The urine must first be filtered through cloth to ensure no residue remains. Place the concentrated sediment in a clean pot and boil it dry. Scrape it out and crush it. Return it to the pot, dissolve it with clear water, and then drip-filter the clear liquid through a bamboo sieve. Boil this filtrate dry again, dissolve it with water, and repeat the dripping filtration process as before. If the dried product is not sufficiently white, repeat the dripping filtration accurately until the color resembles frost and snow. Then, place it in a sand crucible sealed with traditional sealing paste (Guji). Extinguish the direct flame, melt it into a liquid, and pour it out. If the medicine does not form a cavity, refine it one or two more times until it is crystal clear and exhibits five colors. Grind it finely, place it back into the sealed sand crucible, and add four liang of Niter (Xiaoshi) on top. Cultivate it with fire for seven days and nights (prolonged cultivation is even better). Grind it again. Take two qian per dose, swallowed with warm wine on an empty stomach. Alternatively, make pills with jujube flesh, sized like paulownia seeds, taking thirty pills per dose on an empty stomach. The Yang refinement method is taken at noon; the Yin refinement method is taken at midnight. In Guangnan, there was a Daoist priest who made a living refining Qiu Shi (Stone from Human Urine), calling it Huan Yuan Dan (Return to Origin Pill). My late father once suffered from emaciation and coughing for nine years, to which all other remedies failed. He recovered after taking this medicine. Lang Shilan returned from Nanhai, throwing down dozens of pills, saying, "This is the Daoist's pill." The next morning, lying on his mat, he found over ten pills, exactly as seen in his dream. When my late father arrived in Panyu, Lang asked about the pill first. My late father showed him the pill, which differed from those in the dream, but his wife recovered immediately after taking it. Another relative of mine once suffered from vertigo and dizziness, with abdominal distension worsening into asthma and chest fullness over a long period. After nearly three years on the brink of death, he also recovered by taking this medicine, which was refined by fire. At that time, I was guarding Xuancheng and had been seriously ill for over a year. Someone urgently wrote to advise me to take this pill, claiming it truly brings people back to life. I was in the process of preparing the refinement when a Daoist priest happened to arrive and transmitted the Yin refinement method. Combining both methods, the medicine penetrates deeply into the bone marrow, reaching everywhere. The technique was kept extremely secret and allowed to be passed down only after a long time. Following the method, its efficacy was verified again. This medicine not only treats diseases but can also be taken regularly; it provides benefit without toxicity. I initially obtained it with great difficulty, intending to relieve others, so logically it should not be kept secret. Fire-refined Qiu Shi can be done by anyone. The refining process requires large furnaces and cauldrons, lasting several days, with the odor reaching neighbors. This method is extremely labor-saving; only a small pot is needed. The resulting substance is hard like metal and stone, never becoming damp or soft, and its efficacy far surpasses common methods. Those with chronic illnesses see effects after just a few doses. I happened upon it, and it is exceedingly miraculous.
