[Annotation] "Kuai" refers to the raw flesh of cattle, sheep, and fish, thinly sliced. Milk products and cheese are sour and cold in nature; consuming them together with "kuai" may lead to the generation of parasites and the formation of "jia" (abdominal masses), hence their combined consumption is prohibited.
If "kuai" remains undigested in the stomach and cannot be vomited up, it should be rapidly purged. If neglected for a long time, it may develop into a "zhu" disease (a chronic, often infectious or consumptive condition). The treatment formula is as follows:
Chenpi (Tangerine Peel, 1 liang) Dahuang (Rhubarb Root and Rhizome, 2 liang) Puxiao (Mirabilite, 2 liang)
Take the above three herbs, decoct in one sheng of water until reduced to one small sheng, and take in one dose to resolve the stagnation.
[Formula Analysis] Chenpi resolves fish toxicity; combined with Puxiao and Dahuang, it facilitates the expulsion of stagnation via the large intestine.
Excessive consumption of "kuai" leading to indigestion and condensation into a "zhu" disease. The treatment formula is as follows:
Mabiancao (Clematis Root, *Clematis chinensis*)
Take this single herb, crush and extract the juice, then drink it. Alternatively, drinking one sheng of ginger leaf juice can also resolve it. One may also induce vomiting using emetic agents.
[Formula Analysis] Mabiancao primarily treats "pixin jia" (blood stasis masses), invigorates blood, and kills parasites. Ginger leaf detoxifies. Both are applicable.
For restlessness caused by two types of food poisoning after eating fish, the treatment formula is as follows:
Decoct Chenpi (Tangerine Peel) thickly to extract the juice; ingestion will resolve the toxicity.
[Formula Analysis] Chenpi is bitter, acrid, and warm; it directs qi downward and unblocks the spirit, thus possessing detoxifying properties.
Treatment formula for poisoning from eating pufferfish (*Hechunyu*):
Boil Lu Gen (Reed Rhizome, *Phragmites communis*) to extract the juice; ingestion will resolve the toxicity.
[Formula Analysis] *Hechunyu* refers to the pufferfish, known for its delicious taste, particularly its belly fat called "Xishi Ru" (Breast of Xi Shi). It lacks gills on the head and scales on the body. Its liver is toxic, its blood is lethal, its fat causes tongue numbness, its roe causes abdominal distension, and contact with its eyes causes blurred vision. Only Lu Gen juice can antidote this poison.
Crabs with eyes facing each other, spotted legs, and red eyes should not be eaten.
[Annotation] Crabs with eyes facing away from each other are safe; however, if the eyes face each other, and the legs are spotted and eyes red, they are toxic. Hence, it is warned against eating them.
Treatment formula for crab poisoning:
Boil Zisu (Perilla Leaf, *Perilla frutescens*) to extract the juice and drink three shengs. Extracting juice from Zisu Zi (Perilla Seed, *Perilla frutescens*) and drinking it is also effective. Drinking three shengs of Donggua (Winter Melon, *Benincasa hispida*) juice or eating winter melon is also acceptable.
[Formula Analysis] Both Zisu and Donggua can resolve crab toxicity, hence their use.
Generally, crabs before the frost have high toxicity; only those cooked thoroughly are safe to eat.
[Annotation] Crabs before the frost are toxic and should not be eaten raw. After the frost, the toxicity disappears.
If a spider falls into food, it is toxic and should not be eaten.
[Annotation] Spiders are toxic. Any food contaminated by spiders should not be consumed due to the presence of toxins.
If bees, flies, insects, ants, etc., gather on food, consuming it will cause illness.
[Annotation] Insects are toxic. Consuming food where insects have gathered will lead to illness.
