According to the *Taiping Shenghui Fang*: Infantile gan sores occur on the face and nose, are neither itchy nor painful, and often exude fluid. Wherever the fluid flows, sores immediately form. They may also appear on other parts of the body, a condition commonly suffered by infants. This is caused by wind-dampness clashing with blood and qi, hence the lack of itching or pain, and thus named "gan sore." Qian Yi discussed external manifestations of gan sores: redness and erosion under the nose, where the child rubs their nose; sores form without scabbing, gradually spreading around the ears. For treating nasal sores and erosion, use Lanxiang San (Perilla Leaf Powder). For various sores, use Baifen San (White Powder). (Both formulas are detailed under the section "Nasal Gan").
Zhang Huan's Sizhen Dan: Treats various forms of gan disease characterized by emaciation, scorched yellow hair, and sores in the mouth and nose.
