Weizhong (BL40) acupoint, and bleeding from the tips of all ten fingers is also a good treatment method.
[Ho-Luan during Pregnancy] If vomiting occurs first, or abdominal pain with vomiting and diarrhea, this is caused by Heat pathogen. If accompanied by headache, body ache, and fever, this indicates an invasion of Wind pathogen. If Wind-Cold constricts the skin, causing Qi mechanism to fail in unblocking, and Wind-Heat rushes upward to the head, it results in headache. If Wind pathogen enters the intestines and stomach, it leads to diarrhea, dysentery, and vomiting; in severe cases, cold extremities occur due to sudden exhaustion of Yang Qi, termed "Si-Ni" (Four Coldness). Pregnant women suffering from this condition often risk damaging the fetus. Xue Shi stated: If caused by internal injury from diet and external contraction of Wind-Cold, use Huoxiang Zhengqi San (Agastache Powder to Rectify the Qi). If caused by food stagnation, use Pingwei San (Stomach-Pacifying Powder). If the Spleen and Stomach are suddenly injured, resulting in Yang Qi deficiency and Cold, with cold extremities, warming and tonifying formulas must be used. Treatment should be carefully examined to avoid disturbing the fetus. Available formulas include Renshen San (Ginseng Powder), Renshen Baizhu San (Ginseng and Atractylodes Macrocephala Powder), Suopi Yin (Spleen-Shrinking Drink), Mugua Jian (Papaya Decoction), Zhuru Tang (Bamboo Shavings Decoction), Sijunzi Tang (Four Gentlemen Decoction), Lizhong Wan (Regulate the Middle Pill), and Xiangru Yin (Elsholtzia Drink).
[Ho-Luan after Childbirth] Chen Shi stated: It is caused by deficiency and damage of the Zang-Fu organs, indigestion of food, and exposure to Wind-Cold. If there is heat and thirst for water, use Wuling San (Five-Ingredient Powder with Poria). If there is cold aversion without thirst, use Lizhong Wan (Regulate the Middle Pill). For deficiency-cold patterns, add Fuzi (Prepared Aconite Root); Laifu Dan (Restoring Life Pill) is especially excellent. I suggest referring to the treatment methods in Bao Ming Ji (Collection for Preserving Life).
