The Kidney governs the feet. If Kidney deficiency occurs and the Kidney is attacked by Wind-Dampness, which assaults the feet and knees, it is named Hong Kong Jiao (a disease characterized by swelling and weakness of the lower legs and feet). Due to the stagnation of Qi and Blood, and the abundance of Damp-Toxic Qi trapped in the skin and interstices without being able to diffuse and circulate freely, sores arise on the feet.
