Shenxiao Jianhong Wan (Divine Efficacy Red-Clipping Pill)
Specifically targets all types of intestinal parasite accumulation, with miraculous efficacy. Most diseases in humans arise from excessive alcohol consumption and damage to the spleen and stomach caused by consuming raw or cold foods, leading to disharmony between the spleen and stomach, fullness and distension in the heart and diaphragm, vomiting, nausea, acid regurgitation, frequent spitting of clear fluid, sallow and withered complexion, loss of appetite; or due to mountainous miasma, edema and gu distension (abdominal ascites), coughing, phlegm-rheum stagnation; or due to alcohol accumulation, food accumulation, qi accumulation and qi masses; or fanwei yige (regurgitation and dysphagia), retching, nausea; or changfeng zhilou (intestinal wind, hemorrhoids and fistula), zangdu jiu li (visceral toxin, alcoholic dysentery); or due to long-term accumulated heat attacking the head and eyes, causing sores and tinea below. For women's blood and qi disorders, alternating chills and fever, emaciation, irregular menstruation, red and white leukorrhea, "ghost qi ghost fetus" (abnormal pregnancy sensations or masses attributed to spiritual factors or parasites), and various postpartum diseases. For children's five kinds of kan parasitic accumulation, accidental swallowing of copper or iron, accidental ingestion of toxic substances, this medicine is suitable. Each dose should be taken at dawn (wugeng time) swallowed with cold tea. Use a toilet to collect feces and observe them in an open field to witness the drug's effect, making it easy to distinguish whether worms or accumulations are expelled, or if they resemble rotten fish jelly, or appear in five colors or other forms of accumulation. If no worms or accumulations are seen after one administration, observe the second or third excretion; this reveals the root of the disease. Accumulations are resolved, qi stagnation is dispersed, worms are removed, and masses are eliminated. Once the root cause is gone, the disease naturally subsides. If the condition is superficial, one dose yields results; if the source is deep, another dose is required. This medicine can guide out seasonal accumulated pathogens: in spring, it disperses stagnation preventing sores and toxins; in summer, it disperses summerheat-dampness preventing hot dysentery; in autumn, it disperses phlegm-fluids preventing malarial fevers; in winter, it disperses wind-cold preventing epidemics. The medicine is mild, does not damage primordial yang qi, and has no adverse interactions. Children take half the dose; pregnant women should not take it. Its efficacy is divine.
Preparation:
First ingredient powder: Raw Areca Seed (Binglang) ground finely, taking one jin (approx. 500g) of pure powder. Two liang (approx. 100g) serves as the base ("mother"), the remaining fourteen liang undergo the first processing: sifted through a No. 1 sieve and dried evenly.
Second ingredient powder: Phytolacca Root (Shanglu, also known as Changliu Gen; white varieties are usable, red ones are toxic and fatal), Golden-haired Dogspine Rhizome (Jinmao Gouji), and Cyathula Root (Guanzhong), each four liang. These three ingredients are mixed and ground into an extremely fine powder, then processed for the second time: sifted through a No. 2 sieve and dried evenly. Alternative prescription: Do not use Guanzhong, otherwise expelled worms may remain alive.
Third ingredient powder: Vinegar-processed Burreed Tuber (Sanleng) and Vinegar-processed Curcuma Tuber (Ezhu), each eight liang; Green Aromatic Costus Root (Qingmuxiang) and Western Aromatic Costus Root (Ximuxiang), each four liang; Vinegar-processed Omphalia Fungus (Leiyuan), two and a half liang; Southern Aromatic Costus Root (Nanmuxiang), two liang. These six ingredients are mixed and ground into an extremely fine powder, then processed for the third time: sifted through a No. 3 sieve and collected evenly.
Fourth ingredient powder: Rhubarb (Dahuang) chopped, soaked in wine, dried, and ground finely, taking one jin of pure powder. Processed for the fourth time: sifted through a No. 4 sieve and dried evenly.
Fifth ingredient powder: Black Morning Glory Seed (Hei Qianniu), half raw and half stir-fried, ground finely, taking one jin of the first-run powder. Processed for the fifth time: sifted through a No. 5 sieve and dried evenly. Alternative prescription: Use Immature Bitter Orange (Zhiqiao) one jin as the base, add Agastache (Huoxiang) four liang, and incorporate various aromatic herbs.
The above five sets of ingredients are separately ground into extremely fine powders, requiring five distinct grinding processes. Then, use half a jin of Yinchern (Artemisia capillaris) and one jin of Large Soapberry (Da Zaojiao) to decoct the juice and filter it cleanly. Use this liquid to bind the pills, sized like mung beans. After drying, mix in one liang of Clove Powder (Dingxiang), or alternatively add one liang of Aloe Vera Powder (Lushui), which is also excellent. Boil the previous clean juice once, sprinkle it over the pills, and rotate/shake until they become glossy. Then, take two liang of raw Donkey-hide Gelatin (Ejiao), melt it using the previous juice, sprinkle it over the pills, rotate/shake until glossy, and dry. Strong individuals take five qian per dose; weak individuals take four qian. Swallow with tea water at dawn; children take half the dose.

Alternatively: Eat seven fresh seeds daily for seven days; worms dissolve into water.
Another method: Eat 100 seeds roasted. Best if finished completely. If unable, eating 50 seeds works; worms dissolve and pass overnight. Another method also treats Three Corpses (Sanshi) worms.

Worms will all pass. Recover with white congee for one day. I, Xuande, often felt gastric嘈杂 (discomfort/buzzing), suspecting alcohol or worms. Following this good formula, the next day I passed two worms: one was two chi five cun long, with a flat wide head and sharp tail, segmented every cun, patterned like brocade; the other was broken into inch-long segments.
