This refers to a person suddenly being crushed by a heavy object or falling from a height, resulting in hematemesis (vomiting blood) or hematochezia/melena (bleeding from the lower gastrointestinal tract), which is due to the injury of the Zang and Fu organs.

If the injury to the wrist or other parts is severe, causing rupture of skin and flesh, damage to bone marrow, and injury to tendons and vessels, these are all sudden damages. Consequently, Qi and Blood become isolated and cannot nourish the body uniformly. Therefore, it is necessary to properly bind and fixate the injured area, and perform massage and Daoyin (guiding and pulling exercises) to restore the flow of Qi and Blood.

This condition arises because, after sustaining trauma, the body is further attacked by Wind and Cold pathogens, causing blood stasis to accumulate internally, leading to a prolonged failure to heal.

If a wrist fracture damages the skin and flesh, creating an open wound, one must strictly avoid exposure to wind or fanning oneself. If Wind enters the wound and invades the meridians and collaterals, it may cause Jing disease (spasm disorder). Jing disease is characterized by rigidity of the back and spine, and trismus (lockjaw) preventing speech.

This occurs when Wind enters the wound but does not invade the meridians; instead, it clashes with Qi, resulting only in swelling.

This refers to injuries caused by thorns or bamboo splinters. If Wind and Dampness enter the wound, it leads to pain and swelling, potentially progressing to suppuration (pus formation).

The syndrome of Wind-deficiency, Labor, and Cold refers to a state where the body is deficient and exhausted, yet exposed to Cold. If individuals manage their health properly and follow physiological laws, Qi and Blood will be harmonious, and external pathogens such as Wind, Cold, Summer-heat, and Dampness cannot cause harm. However, if labor and strain injure Qi and Blood, leading to deficiency, Wind and Cold will take advantage of this weakness to invade. They may lodge in the meridians and collaterals or enter the abdominal cavity. When meridians and collaterals are affected by Wind and Cold, Qi and Blood become cold and stagnant, failing to warm the skin and muscles. When the interior of the abdomen is affected by Wind and Cold, the Spleen and Stomach become weak and fail to digest food. Depending on the site of injury, different diseases arise: if the Large Intestine is deficient, it transforms into diarrhea; if Wind and Cold enter the Zi Zang (uterus), it causes uterine coldness, leading to infertility; if Wind and Cold clash with Blood, causing blood stagnation and obstruction, it also results in irregular menstruation or amenorrhea.

The syndrome of Wind-pathogen-induced Palpitations and Fright is caused by Wind attacking the Heart. The Heart houses the Shen (Spirit) and is the master of all Zang and Fu organs. If Qi and Blood are harmonious, the Shen remains stable; if there is deficiency, the Shen becomes weak, allowing Wind pathogens to invade due to the deficiency. This results in fright and unstable palpitations. If palpitations and fright persist, they may transform into mental confusion, anxiety, and fear.

The essence of water and grain consumed by humans is transformed into Qi, Blood, and Jin-Ye (body fluids). Jin-Ye circulates through the cou-li (interstices/skin pores). If labor and strain cause damage, Yang Qi becomes deficient externally, the cou-li open, and Qi and Blood weaken. Consequently, Jin-Ye leaks out excessively, causing hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). If deficiency sweating persists, it may transform into shortness of breath, emaciation, and wasting. It may also reduce the volume of Blood vessels, cause dysmenorrhea or scanty menstruation, and in severe cases, lead to complete amenorrhea.
