[Acupoint Diagram of the Hand Taiyang Small Intestine Meridian II]
**Song of All Acupoints on the Small Intestine Meridian**
The acupoints of the Small Intestine Meridian total nineteen. The route starts from Shaoze (SI 1), proceeds through the prominence of Qian Gu (SI 2) and Hou Xi (SI 3), follows the path along Wang Gu (SI 4), observes the elevation of Yang Gu (SI 5) and Yang Lao (SI 6), meets Zhi Zheng (SI 7) at Xiao Hai (SI 8), follows Jian Zhen (SI 9), encounters Yu (likely referring to a specific point or typo in original, contextually implies sequence) and Tian Zong (SI 11), simultaneously enters Feng Chi (GB 20 - *Note: Text says "Feng Xi", likely typo for Feng Chi or similar, but strictly translating text as "Feng Xi"* - actually text says "Feng Xi" which is not standard, likely "Feng Chi" or just part of the rhyme scheme for location. Given "Qu Yuan" follows, it might be a poetic description. Let's stick to literal translation of names mentioned: Feng Xi [sic] and Qu Yuan (SI 13). Then Jian Wai Shu (SI 14) and Jian Zhong Shu (SI 15), opens Tian Chuang (SI 16) and sees Tian Rong (SI 17), if not via Quan Liao (SI 18), how to reach Ting Gong (SI 19).
**Song of Measurements for Acupoints on the Small Intestine Meridian**
Shaoze (SI 1) is at the outer end of the little finger. Qian Gu (SI 2) is sought on the lateral side, anterior to the metacarpophalangeal joint. Hou Xi (SI 3) is taken by making a fist after the joint. Wang Gu (SI 4) is on the lateral side of the depression anterior to the pisiform bone. Yang Gu (SI 5) is sought in the depression below the styloid process of the ulna (Dui Gu). Yang Lao (SI 6) is named one cun above the wrist. Zhi Zheng (SI 7) is measured five cun posterior to the wrist. Xiao Hai (SI 8) is good at five fen from the elbow end. Jian Zhen (SI 9) is between the two bones below the scapula (in the depression between the infraspinous fossa and the humerus, posterior to the shoulder). Yu (likely referring to Jian Wai Shu or similar, text says "Yu Da Gu Xia", likely Jian Wai Shu SI 14 or similar contextually, but literally "Yu") is preserved in the depression below the large bone (scapular spine/vertebral border). Tian Zong (SI 11) is in the bone behind Bing Feng (SI 12). Bing Feng (SI 12) has an empty space when raised laterally (outside Tian Zong, behind the small bone on the shoulder, empty when arm is raised). Qu Yuan (SI 13) is in the depression of the curved scapula in the middle of the shoulder. Wai Shu (Jian Wai Shu SI 14) follows one cun behind the scapula (i.e., Jian Wai Shu, upper edge of scapula, in the depression three cun from the spine). Jian Zhong Shu (SI 15) is beside Da Zhu (BL 11) at the second thoracic vertebra. Tian Chuang (SI 16) is detailed in the depression behind Fu Tu (LI 18) (between the large tendons of the neck, below the anterior jaw angle, behind Fu Tu, in the depression where the artery beats). Tian Rong (SI 17) is behind the curved jaw below the ear. Quan Liao (SI 18) is measured at the sharp end of the cheekbone. Ting Gong (SI 19) is at the end of the ear, large like a bean (the pearl in the ear is large, like a red mung bean).
