In cases of sudden stroke with falling, abrupt coma, accumulation of phlegm and saliva obstructing the airway, loss of consciousness, locked jaw, and inability to take medicine, immediately use a three-edged needle to prick the twelve Jing-Well points (Jing-Well points: acupoints located at the tips of the fingers and toes where the meridian Qi emerges) on the ten fingers to expel evil blood. This method is also applicable to treat all acute death-like conditions, loss of consciousness, and intestinal colic cramps (Jiaochang Sha: a condition characterized by severe abdominal pain and vomiting/diarrhea), which is a miraculous technique for reviving the seemingly dead.

For facial paralysis with deviation of the mouth and eye: Tinghui (GB2), Jiache (ST6), Dicang (ST4).
If the mouth deviates to the left, moxibustion should be applied to the right side; if it deviates to the right, moxibustion should be applied to the left side. Apply fourteen moxa cones (Zhuang: a unit of measure for moxibustion, referring to one cone) in the depressions of each point. The moxa cone should be the size of a wheat grain. Apply frequently until the pathogenic wind is expelled and the mouth and eyes return to their normal position.
Another method: Insert a five-cun long pen tube into the ear canal. Seal the space around the tube externally with flour paste. Apply moxibustion for fourteen cones. Deviation to the right is treated by moxibustion on the left, and deviation to the left by moxibustion on the right.
When pathogenic wind enters the Fu organs (hollow organs), resulting in hemiplegia or inability to move the limbs: Baihui (GV20), the hairline anterior to the ear, Jianyu (LI15), Quchi (LI11), Fengshi (GB31), Zusanli (ST36), and Yanglingquan (GB34).
Whenever numbness or prolonged pain is felt in the hands and feet, this indicates that pathogenic wind has entered the Fu organs. It is advisable to moxibustion these seven acupoints. If the disease is on the left, moxibustion is applied to the right, and vice versa. Continue until the wind pathogen subsides.
When pathogenic wind enters the Zang organs (solid organs), leading to qi obstruction, phlegm accumulation, aphasia, and critical coma: Baihui (GV20), Dazhui (GV14), Fengchi (GB20), Jianjing (GB21), Quchi (LI11), Zusanli (ST36).
Whenever there is a feeling of mental restlessness, dissatisfaction, or persistent numbness in the limbs, this indicates that pathogenic wind has entered the Zang organs. Quickly apply moxibustion to these seven acupoints, thirty-five to forty-nine cones each. If the wind pathogen is slightly alleviated, during spring and autumn seasons, regularly moxibustion these seven acupoints to vent the wind pathogen. Individuals predisposed to stroke should pay special attention to this.
For nasal congestion, frequent clear rhinorrhea, lateral or frontal headache, dandruff, convulsive epilepsy, upward staring of the eyes, and failure to recognize people: Xinhui (EX-HN18) (Moxibustion).
For scalp swelling, vertigo, weakness, chills and fever, eye pain, and inability to see far: Shangxing (GV23) (Acupuncture and Moxibustion).
For wind epilepsy and convulsions: Yintang (EX-HN3) (Acupuncture and Moxibustion).
For stiffness and tension of the head and neck, inability to look back: Fengfu (GV16) (Acupuncture).
For inability to raise the hand: Yangchi (TE4) (Acupuncture and Moxibustion).
For wrist soreness, inability to flex and extend, finger pain preventing grasping: Waiguan (TE5) (Acupuncture and Moxibustion).
For hand weakness, anesthesia, spasm, and inability to extend: Shousanli (LI10) (Acupuncture and Moxibustion).
For cough with phlegm, elbow spasm, chills, fever, and convulsive epilepsy: Lieque (LU7) (Acupuncture and Moxibustion).
For fright, aphonia, and elbow/wrist soreness: Tongli (HT5) (Acupuncture and Moxibustion).
For waist and hip pain, inability to turn or lie sideways, pulling pain between the waist and hypochondrium: Huantiao (GB30) (Acupuncture and Moxibustion).
For muscle spasms, cramps, weakness, and pain while walking: Kunlun (BL60) (Acupuncture and Moxibustion).
For numbness in the legs and feet, cold bi-syndrome, and cold pain: Yanglingquan (GB34) (Acupuncture and Moxibustion).
For stiffness and tension of the lower back and back: Weizhong (BL40) (Acupuncture).
For pain in the feet and knees, muscle spasms, and cramps: Chengshan (BL57) (Acupuncture and Moxibustion).
Important moxa points for treating deficiency damage from the Five Exhaustions and Seven Injuries: Taodao (GV10), one point, fourteen cones. Shenzhu (GV12), one point, fourteen cones. Feishu (BL13), two points, forty-nine to one hundred cones. Gaohuang (BL43), two points, twenty-one to forty-nine cones.
