The Ren Mai (Conception Vessel) begins from below and ascends, passing through the yin region, converging at Qugu (CV2) and Zhongji (CV3), followed by Guanyuan (CV4), Shimen (CV5), and Qihai (CV6). Ascending further are Yinjiao (CV7), Shenque (CV8), and Shuifen (CV9). It then follows Xiawan (CV10), Jianli (CV11), and Zhongwan (CV12), ascending to Shangwan (CV13), Juque (CV14), starting from Jiuwei (CV15). It passes through Zhongting (CV16), Danzhong (CV17), and Yutang (CV18). After Zigong (CV19), it moves to Huagai (CV20). Xuanji (CV21), Tiantu (CV22), and Lianquan (CV23) are located in colder areas. Finally, it ascends to the chin area, ending at Chengjiang (CV24).
The Du Mai (Governing Vessel) has twenty-seven acupoints. It starts at Changqiang (GV1), connecting to Yaoshu (GV2). Yangguan (GV3) and Mingmen (GV4) correspond to Xianshu (GV5). Jizhong (GV6) and Jianshu (GV7 - *Note: Text says Jinshu which is GV8*) move towards Yangguan. Lingtai (GV10), Shendao (GV11), and Shenzhu (GV12) follow. Taodao (GV13), Dazhui (GV14), and Yamen (GV15) converge. Fengfu (GV16) and Naohu (GV17) connect to Qiangjian (GV18). Houding (GV19), Baihui (GV20), and Qianding (GV21) meet. From Shangxing (GV23) and Shenting (GV24) to Sulu (GV25), Shuigou (GV26), Duanduan (GV27), and Yinjiao (GV28) stop.
Try raising your hand to observe the Hand-Taiyin Lung Meridian. Shaoshang (LU11) is found at the tip of the finger. Yuji (LU10) is behind the first metacarpophalangeal joint of the thumb. Taiyuan (LU9) is in the center behind the palm. Jingqu (LU8) is in the depression where the radial pulse is felt at the cun kou. Lieque (LU7) is needled obliquely half a cun above the wrist crease. Kongzui (LU6) is measured seven cun above the wrist crease. Chize (LU5) is discussed at the center of the elbow crease. Xiabai (LU2) is below Tianfu (LU3), five cun from the elbow crease where the artery beats. Tianfu (LU3) is three cun under the axilla; needling can effectively treat persistent epistaxis.
The Hand-Yangming Large Intestine Meridian belongs to the large intestine. Shangyang (LI1) is named on the medial side of the index finger. Erjian (LI2) is before the proximal phalanx joint, and Sanjian (LI3) is after it. Hegu (LI4) is sought in the depression between the bones (radial styloid process). Yangxi (LI5) is detailed on the upper lateral side of the wrist. Pianli (LI6) is three cun behind the wrist. Wenliu (LI7) is on the lateral side between five and six cun. Quchi (LI11) is sought in the elbow crease when flexing the arm. Sanli (LI10) is three cun above Quchi. Shanglian (LI9) is one cun below on the lateral side. Moxibustion is applied one cun below this point at the elbow. Above the outer edge of the large bone of the elbow, Wuli (LI13) is taken three cun below the elbow. Binao (LI14) is measured one cun above the elbow. Jianyu (LI15) is below the shoulder, and the acupoint should be distinguished clearly.
Zhongchong (PC9) is on the inner side of the little finger. Shaofu (PC8) is directly behind the joint. Tongli (HT5) is named one cun behind the wrist. Yinxi (HT6) is described as being in the middle behind the palm. Shenmen (HT7) is at the end of the sharp bone (pisiform) behind the palm. Lingdao (HT4) connects half a cun behind the palm. Shaohai (HT3) is after the joint inside the elbow. Qingling (HT9) accommodates qi and blood three cun above the elbow. There are two Ji Quan (HT1) points, where the sinews and vessels in the axilla penetrate into the chest.
The end of the little finger is Hand-Shaoyang Sanjiao? (*Note: Text says "Hand Shaoze", but Shaoze is LI/Small Intestine. Text content mixes meridians*). Shaoze (SI1) is at the end of the little finger. Qiangu (SI2) is an acupoint outside and before the proximal phalanx joint. Houxi (SI3) is in the depression after the joint. Wanggu (SI4) is sought laterally in the depression. Yanggu (SI5) is discussed between the sharp bones. Yanglao (SI19) is away from the depression near the ankle bone (*Note: Text likely refers to wrist anatomy*). Zhengzheng (SI7) is measured five cun behind the wrist. Shaohai (HT3) is skillfully located five fen from the end of the elbow.
