Huo Luan (Acute Gastroenteritis with Vomiting and Diarrhea): Select Yinlingquan (SP9) and Chengshan (BL57). Subsequently, select Jiexi (ST41) and Taibai (SP3). For treating vomiting and diarrhea in Huo Luan, select Guanchong (SI1); combine with Zhigou (TE6), Zusanli (ST36), and Chize (LU5). Again select Taibai (SP3) internally. Then select Zhongfeng (KI6) and Chengshan (BL57). Combine Yinlingquan (SP9), Yangfu (GB38), and Guanchong (SI1).
Nue Ji (Malaria): Select Baihui (GV20) and Jingqu (LU8). Qian gu (SI3) among three acupoints is suitable for excess patterns. For Wen Nue (Warm Malaria), select Zhongwan (CV12) and Dazhui (GV14). If it is Dan Nue (Crimson Malaria), treat by selecting Yaoshu (GV2). If the malaria presents with alternating chills and fever, Shenmen (HT7) is highly effective for headache and sternal pain. For Han Nue (Cold Malaria), Sanmen (LR13) is exquisitely effective. If accompanied by mental restlessness, treat by selecting Shenmen (HT7). For Han Nue causing loss of appetite, treat by selecting Gongsun (SP4). Neiting (ST44) and Lidui (ST45) together form three acupoints [Note: Text implies a combination]. For chronic malaria, moxa Zhongzhu (TE3) and Shangyang (LI1). This disease is also treated by combining Quxu (GB40). I earnestly instruct physicians to memorize this text. For malaria with more heat than cold, select Jian Shi (PC5). Combining with Sanli (Zusanli ST36) yields miraculous effects. For malaria caused by Spleen Cold, select Dazhui (GV14). Combine Jian Shi (PC5) and Rugen (ST18).
Generalized Edema: Treat by selecting Quchi (LI11), Hegu (LI4), Zusanli (ST36), and Neiting (ST44). Xingjian (LR2) and Sanyinjiao (SP6) [Text mentions six acupoints total for this section] can eradicate the root of this disease. For edema, select Lieque (LU7) and Wanggu (SI4) for treatment. Combine with Shenque (CV8) [moxa 18 cones], which rapidly eliminates the disease without leaving any trace. For swelling of the four limbs, select Quchi (LI11). Tongli (HT5), Hegu (LI4), and Zhongzhu (TE3) are used together. Ye men (TE2), Zusanli (ST36), and Sanyinjiao (SP6). For Wind Swelling with body edema, attack by selecting Jiexi (ST41). For edema with Qi distension and fullness, select Fuliu (KI7). Combine with Shenque (CV8) to achieve efficacy. For water distension with hypochondriac fullness, select Yinlingquan (SP9). For generalized swelling lingering for a long time, combined with indigestion, moxashu (BL23) for one hundred cones, and the disease will recover. For Fan Ren Xiao Bi (Metabolic Disorder/Diabetes-like condition), treat by selecting Taichong (LR3). For Jaundice due to food stagnation, treat by selecting Zhangmen (LR13). For Hong Dan (Red Jaundice), select Hegu (LI4) and Baihui (GV20). Weizhong (BL40), Zusanli (ST36), and Quchi (LI11). For Huang Dan (Yellow Jaundice), select Bailao (EX-B1), Wanggu (SI4). Combine Zusanli (ST36), Yongquan (KI1), and Zhongwan (CV12). Ran gu (KI2), Taichong (LR3), and Fuliu (KI7). Gaohuang (BL43), Daling (PC7), and Laogong (PC8). Also include Pishu (BL20). Taichong (LR3) is one acupoint associated with Zhongfeng (KI6).
Excessive Sweating: First tonify Hegu (LI4), then sedate Fuliu (KI7), and sweating will cease. For insufficient sweating, first sedate Hegu (LI4), then tonify Fuliu (KI7), and the disease will recover. For spontaneous/diaphoresis, select Lieque (LU7) and Quchi (LI11). Zhongzhu (TE3), Ye men (TE2), and Yuji (LU10). Hegu (LI4), Zhigou (TE6), and Jingqu (LU8). Daling (PC7), Shaoshang (LU11), and Shangyang (LI1), etc. Dadu (SP2), Weizhong (BL40), and Xiaxi (GB41). Xian gu (ST43) and Lidui (ST45), totaling twenty-two acupoints.
