The *Beiji Qianjin Yaofang* (Essential Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold for Emergencies) records: To treat Shui Chan (Water Hernia), characterized by scrotal swelling that moves up and down without fixed position, with unbearable pain, commonly known as Bladder Qi. Use two liang of calcined Oyster Shell (Muli, 牡蛎) and one liang of processed dried ginger (Ganjiang, 干姜), grind into powder, and apply to the affected area. It will heal immediately. Thus, Shui Chan is equivalent to Bladder Qi. The *Mingtang Xiaying* (Lower Classic of Mingtang) states: Qichong (ST30) treats Shui Chan. Therefore, Shui Chan is a type of Chan disease. Fearing that people may be confused by the name and treat it incorrectly, this distinction is made.
