The *Qian Jin Fang* records the words of Xu Sibai: The disease of Wind Dizziness arises from insufficiency of Heart Qi. There is an accumulation of heat and excess in the upper chest. Phlegm and heat interact to stir up internal wind. When wind and Heart Qi are chaotic, it leads to mental confusion and dizziness. Hence it is called Wind Dizziness with Confusion (Feng Xuan Mao). In adults, it is called Dian (Manic-Depressive Psychosis); in children, it is called Xian (Epilepsy). Thus, Wind Dizziness and Epilepsy were originally one disease. It is unknown why later generations split them into three categories. I therefore divided them into three sections and wrote explanations to clarify the doubts of contemporary physicians.

Qi Bo said: There are four major categories of Wind Stroke; the fourth is Wind Bi. Chao Yuanfang said: Wind, Cold, and Dampness combine to form Bi syndrome. When Wind is predominant, it is called Wind Bi. The manifestation of Wind Bi involves complete pain in the skin and muscles, accompanied by paralysis of the hands and feet. Physicians should investigate based on these signs and promptly administer Xu Ming Tang (Life-Sustaining Decoction), applying moxibustion according to the Shu points. (See *Qian Jin Fang* for details.)
