Headache and fever: Fengchi (GB20), Fengfu (GV16), Shangxing (GV23), Cuanzhu (BL2), Xuanlu (GB7), Shangyang (LI1), Yuji (LU10), Shendao (GV11), Qimen (LR14), Zusanli (ST36), Xangu (ST43), Taixi (KI3, also known as Lüxi).
Absence of sweating: Wanggu (SI4), Yanggu (SI9), Hegu (LI4, reduce method), Fuliou (KI7, tonify method).
Sweating with alternating chills and fever: Fengchi (GB20), Wuchu (BL3), Cuanzhu (BL2), Shangwan (CV13), Shaoshang (LU11), Hegu (LI4, tonify method), Fuliou (KI7, reduce method).
High fever without cessation and absence of sweating: Xangu (ST43, to drain heat from the Yangming channel).
Severe restlessness and heat persisting day and night: Prick the tips of the ten fingers to bleed; this is called "Ba Guan" (Eight Passes) major pricking.
Aversion to cold: Houxi (SI3).
Wheezing or panting: Sanjian (LI3).
Jie Xiong (Chest Binding Syndrome): Refers to the obstruction of visceral qi preventing its smooth distribution. Pain upon palpation indicates minor Jie Xiong; spontaneous pain without palpation indicates major Jie Xiong. Feishu (BL13), Qimen (LR14).
Heat entering the Blood Chamber with delirium: Qimen (LR14).
Abdominal distension: Zusanli (ST36), Neiting (ST44).
Mania: This is caused by excessive pathogenic heat in the Yangming Stomach channel, with dry fire郁结 (accumulation/stagnation) internally. Baihui (GV20), Hegu (LI4), Jianshi (PC5), Zusanli (ST36), Fuliou (KI7).
Yu Mao (Depression and Dizziness): "Yu" refers to stagnant qi failing to circulate freely; "Mao" refers to unclear spirit/consciousness. It means coma. Guanchong (TE1), Shaoze (SI1), Qiaoyin (GB44), Zhiyin (BL67).
Jue (Cold Extremities/Reversal): The three Yin and three Yang meridians all connect at the hands and feet. Yin governs cold, Yang governs heat. If Yang qi sinks inward and fails to smoothly connect with Yin qi, it results in cold extremities. Zhigou (TE6), Neiting (ST44), Taixi (KI3), Dadu (SP2), Xingjian (LR2). If the pulse is faint or imperceptible, add Jianshi (PC5), Qihai (CV6), Fuliou (KI7).
Residual heat not yet cleared: Quchi (LI11), Jianshi (PC5), Hegu (LI4), Houxi (SI3).
Disease passing through a meridian stage without resolution: Qimen (LR14).
Jaundice: Yangming stasis-heat retained inside causes the body to turn yellow. Generally, jaundice due to warm-heat appears orange-yellow; jaundice due to cold-dampness appears smoky-yellow. Waiguan (TE5), Wanggu (SI4), Shenmai (BL62), Yongquan (KI1).
Difficulty in urination: Pathogenic factors accumulate internally, causing failure of Jin Ye (body fluids) to circulate. Yinggu (KI10), Yinlingquan (SP9), Guanyuan (CV4, for cases of cold stagnation, apply hot fried salt over Guanyuan); Shimen (CV5, moxa for severe Yin-cold with difficulty urinating, retraction of the scrotum, abdominal pain resembling death).
Constipation: Zhangmen (LR13), Zhaohai (KI6).
