Acute infantile convulsion (Ji Jingfeng): Caused by wind pathogen or triggered by hearing sounds of birds, beasts, chickens, or dogs. Saliva flows profusely from the mouth, whole body trembles and convulses. The body and breath are hot during attack,发作 is violent, but consciousness returns to normal afterwards.

Chronic infantile convulsion (Man Jingfeng): Occurs after severe illness or excessive vomiting, indicating extreme deficiency of the Spleen and Stomach. The body and breath from mouth and nose are cold. Frequent convulsions, lethargy, sunken eyes showing the sclera, and puckered mouth.

Smallpox/Rashes: If pustules are uniformly raised and lustrous, there is no danger. If pustules resemble blood spots, are depressed, and gradually turn black and sink, they are difficult to save.

Strange diseases: Any systemic disease that is lighter during the day and heavier at night is difficult to treat. Depending on the affected meridian, the condition worsens progressively, accompanied by chest irritability, pain, and unpredictable strange manifestations. This is caused by loss of yin-yang regulation and reckless movement of yin pathogens. Urgently apply the "Yi Guixie Fa" (Method to Pacify Ghost Pathogens) from *Shenying Jing*. First needle the Neiguan (PC6) acupoint, then needle thirteen acupoints in strict sequence. If the order is lost, it will be ineffective. Also needle superior-grade acupoints, followed by key acupoints of the meridians governing the primary disease. For severe cases, ten to twelve needle sessions suffice for cure; for mild cases, four to five sessions yield results. Additionally, repeatedly needling acupoints in the lower yin regions is ineffective; this method must be followed. Furthermore, Shenmai (BL62), Shangxing (GV23), and Quchi (LI11) are suitable for fire-needle therapy. The term "seven" refers to moxa seven units. If fire needles are not used, round-lance needles or three-edged needles may be used repeatedly without losing the sequence, yielding miraculous effects monthly. "Seven" implies the prescription of seven moxa units. Fire needles follow this method: insert the needle into the flesh but do not penetrate through the skin; withdraw the needle tip slightly and re-insert, adhering to the number seven.

Adults and children with strange diseases are treated identically. To achieve efficacy with this method, the practitioner must be a young adult with abundant spirit and vitality.

Cursing sickness (Zhongxie/Zhuzhou): Also requires the Guixie method. First needle Neiguan (PC6), then the thirteen acupoints, using fire needles (or moxa), following this method.
