Two Acupoints on the Head: When sores and ulcers occur on the head, use a stalk of millet (He Gan) to measure. Start from the tip of the left ear, rotate clockwise passing the tip of the right ear, and return to the starting point to cut off the stalk. The patient should take the left side if male, and the right side if female. Adopt the "One Fu" method from *Zhen Jing* (Classic of Acupuncture), which involves holding four fingers horizontally across the width of the hand. Hold the ends of the stalk with four fingers horizontally and cut them off. Fold the stalk in half at the center and mark it with ink. Place this mark below the Adam's apple (Jie Hou). The two rotated ends will meet on the spine; make a dot mark there. However, this is not the moxibustion acupoint. Take another stalk, using the left side for males and the right side for females. Measure the middle segment of the middle finger as one Cun, add another Cun, fold it in half, and mark it with ink. Press this mark onto the previously marked point on the spine. Arrange the stalks horizontally, and the points where both ends of the stalks reach are the moxibustion acupoints. If the sore appears on the left, moxa the left; if on the right, moxa the right; if on both sides, moxa both.
Two Acupoints on the Hands: When sores and ulcers occur on the hands, use a stalk of millet from Jianyu (LI14) to the claw end of the third finger to cut off the stalk. Align the center of the stalk with the area below the Adam's apple, and let the two ends of the stalk meet behind the neck on the spine to make a dot mark, following the same method as for the head.
Two Acupoints on the Back: From Dazhui (GV14) upwards to the coccyx constitutes the back region; from Tiantu (CV22) to the pubic hair line constitutes the abdomen region; the two axillae also belong to the back and abdomen regions. When sores and ulcers occur on the back or abdomen, use a stalk of millet starting from the left nipple, going around the body passing the right nipple, and returning to the starting point to cut off the stalk. Align the center of the stalk with the area below the Adam's apple, and let the two ends of the stalk rotate and meet on the spine to make a dot mark, following the same method as for the head.
Two Acupoints on the Feet: When sores and ulcers occur on the feet, have the patient stand upright with both feet touching each other evenly. Use a stalk of millet starting from the tip of the big toe, rotating from the medial aspect of the foot to the tip of the right big toe, and returning to the left starting point to cut off the stalk. Align the center of the stalk with the area below the Adam's apple, letting it hang down bilaterally towards the back, just like the method for the head. For initial moxibustion, if pain is felt, continue until the pain ceases; if no pain is felt initially, continue until pain is induced. Alternatively, moxa 500 moxa cones (Zhuang), or 700-800 Zhuang. Using large moxa cones and applying more moxibustion is particularly excellent. For carbuncles and sores (Yong Ju), moxibustion applied at the onset prevents suppuration and leads to self-healing; moxibustion applied after suppuration promotes tissue regeneration, relieves pain, and prevents recurrence.
Medication for Mercury Poisoning Sores: Years after the onset of certain sores (Tian Chuang, likely referring to specific dermatological conditions associated with mercury toxicity), mercury toxins typically manifest on the inner aspect of the tibia, or on the chest or face. They resemble peach pits or chestnuts, hard as stone or bone, developing over months or years into sores. Puncture with needles to drain pus, and use insect-repelling/parasiticidal herbs as medication.
