Acupuncture treatment for spinal and back stiffness and pain selects Renzhong (GV26) (from *Gangmu*). ○ For shoulder and back pain, select Shousanli (LI10) (from *Gangmu*). ○ For back pain radiating to the scapula, select Wushu (GB26), Kunlun (BL60), Xuanzhong (GB39), Jianjing (GB21), and points located in the scapular fissure; this point is below the end of the dorsal bone, directly opposite the tip of the axillary fold, taken at 2.5 cun on the arm, using the reducing method, retaining the needle for six breaths (from *Gangmu*). ○ Back pain is often caused by overexertion; Gao Huang (BL43) is a crucial point. If pain starts in the back and then radiates to the shoulder, it is a disorder of Gao Huang; moxibustion on Gao Huangshu (BL43) and Jianjing (GB21) can lead to recovery (from *Zisheng Pian*).
Acupuncture treatment for nine types of heart pain selects Jianshi (PC5), Lingdao (HT4), Gong Sun (SP4), Taichong (LR3), Zusanli (ST36), and Yinlingquan (SP9) (from *Gangmu*). ○ For sudden heart pain, select Ran Gu (KI2), Shangwan (CV13), Qihai (CV6), Yongquan (KI1), Jianshi (PC5), Zhigou (TE6), Zusanli (ST36), Dadun (LR1), and Duyin (EX-HP1) (from *Gangmu*). ○ For epigastric pain, select Zusanli (ST36) (from *Ling Shu*). ○ When the disease is located in the chest and pectoral region, one must moxa or needle Hunmen (BL47) (from *Zisheng Pian*). ○ When the Yin Linking Vessel (Yin Wei Mai) is diseased, suffering from heart pain, select Neiguan (PC6) (from *Nan Jing*). ○ When hand and foot conditions are primary, if manifesting as excess-type heart pain, select Neiguan (PC6) (from *Gangmu*). ○ For heart pain radiating to the back, first select Jinggu (BL64) and Kunlun (BL60); if ineffective, then select Ran Gu (KI2) and Weiyang (BL39) (from *Ling Shu*). ○ For heart-spleen pain, select Juque (CV14), Shangwan (CV13), and Zhongwan (CV12) (from *Gangmu*). ○ Jue Heart Pain is also known as Kidney Heart Pain; first select Jinggu (BL64) and Kunlun (BL60); if ineffective, then select Ran Gu (KI2), Dabu (SP2), Taibai (SP3), Taixi (KI3), Xingjian (LR2), Taichong (LR3), Yuji (LU10), and Taiyuan (LU9) (from *Ling Shu*). ○ For heart pain caused by parasites, moxa Shangwan (CV13), Zhongwan (CV12), and Yindu (SP19) (from *De Xiao Fang*). ○ For blood stasis heart pain, select Qimen (LR14) (from *Gangmu*). ○ For Jie Xiong (Chest Binding) caused by Cold Damage, initially causing severe pain to the left side of the midpoint below the xiphoid process, first needle the left Zhigou (TE6) with a filiform needle, then needle the left Jianshi (PC5), named "Double Guan Needle," then needle the left Xingjian (LR2); Jie Xiong will show immediate effect. For the right side, follow the same method; the patient should breathe slowly, retain the needle for a moment, and the illness will be cured immediately (from *Gangmu*). ○ For chest and heart stuffiness, select Yongquan (KI1), Taixi (KI3), Zhongchong (PC9), Taoling (PC7), Yinbai (SP1), Taibai (SP3), Shaochong (HT9), and Shenmen (HT7) (from *Gangmu*). ○ For Jie Xiong with yellow complexion, select Yongquan (KI1) (from *Gangmu*). ○ Moxibustion method for Jie Xiong: Take ten bitter beans (Baiduo, *Crotonis Fructus*), peel them, grind into fine powder, add one qian of Coptidis Rhizoma (*Huanglian*) powder, mix with saliva to form a cake, fill it into the umbilicus, and apply moxibustion on top. If there is a sound in the abdomen, the disease is gone. The number of moxa cones is not limited; stop when the disease is resolved. After moxibustion, wipe with a warm damp towel to prevent sores (from *Gangmu*). ○ For all kinds of bitter pain in the heart, abdomen, chest, hypochondrium, waist, and back, grind Sichuan pepper (*Chuanjiao*, *Zanthoxyli Pericarpium*) into fine powder, mix with vinegar to form a cake, apply to the painful area, place prepared mugwort (*Ai Ye*, *Artemisiae Argyi Folium*) on the cake and ignite; the pain will cease immediately (from *Yi Jian*).
