Bee propolis/wax treats dysentery and various sores.
Commentary: Honey's sweetness suits returning to the Spleen; its moistening property suits returning to the Lungs; its applications are the most numerous. Indeed, it possesses the essence of a hundred flowers, and moreover, it is brewed using human urine. Do not consume raw honey in the seventh month, as it causes sudden diarrhea and cholera-like symptoms.
Lei Gong said: Whenever refining one jin of honey, only twelve liang and half remain, or one fen is the count. If the fire is too weak or too strong, it must not be used.

Lei Gong said: There is a type called Stone Oyster, where the edges consist of various sizes of sand and stones, truly resembling oysters, but round like a turtle shell. Sea oysters can be used, but if men take them, it causes loss of facial hair. True oyster shells, after calcination, are tested with water; those that float immediately upon contact are authentic, which are ten-thousand-year-old amber. Before processing, first use twenty pieces, add one liang of salt to flowing eastward water, boil for one full period (Shichen), then place in fire to burn until the redness fades, put into a mortar, and grind into powder for use.
