又方∶胆矾衔口内，恶涎吐尽自愈。
浓朴、半夏、茯苓、紫苏各一钱，甘草五分，老姜一片，煎服即愈。
丹溪云∶此非喉症，乃是鼻中生一条红线如发，悬一黑泡，大如樱珠垂挂到喉门而止。
如用刀针即死。急取活土牛膝根独条肥大者（向生草药店买之），捣汁，以好醋四五滴和匀，
滴入鼻中。二三次线断珠破，吐出瘀血立安。或用针刺手腕中紫筋，或刺小商穴（查后喉症
诸方便知），去其恶血，更为神妙。
此症生喉间两傍，或单或双，如桂圆大，红丝相裹如瘤。因肺经受热所致，切忌用刀。
内服益气疏风汤∶甘草、桔梗、川芎、当归、生地、升麻、白芍、花粉、黄芩、麦冬、前胡
、青皮、干葛、连翘、防风、白蒺藜，水煎服。外用麝香、上冰片各三分，川连二分，研末
，时时吹入。或刺手腕中紫筋，或刺少商穴亦妙。
此痰结也。用海藻、半夏、白芥子、贝母、南星各三钱，高丽参三钱，茯苓五钱，昆布
、桔梗、甘草各一钱，制附子一钱，水煎服。
半青半黄梅子，每个用盐一两，（盐少不效），淹一日一夜晒干，又淹又晒，淹至盐水尽
为止。每用青铜钱三个夹盐梅二个，麻线捆住装瓷坛内，封口埋地下百日取出。每用盐梅一
个含口中，咽汁入喉，半刻即消。收一年者佳，越陈越好，其妙无穷。
又方∶子龙丸（见阴疽门）服之最效。
Bai Cao Shuang (soot from the stove, preferably from burning grass in rural areas; coal soot must not be used) is mixed with honey and formed into pills the size of a Chinese quince seed. Take with newly drawn cold water.
Another method: Hold Dan Fan (Chalcanthite) in the mouth until foul saliva is completely expectorated, then the condition will heal spontaneously.
Houpo (Magnolia Bark), Banxia (Pinellia Rhizome), Fuling (Poria), Zisu (Perilla Leaf) each 1 qian, Gancao (Licorice Root) 0.5 qian, Laojiang (Old Ginger) one slice. Decoct and take orally for immediate recovery.
Zhu Danxi stated: This is not a throat disease, but rather a red line like a hair growing in the nose, suspending a black blister the size of a cherry pit, hanging down to the entrance of the throat. Puncturing it with a knife or needle will cause death. Immediately take a single, thick, large root of Huo Tuniuxi (Achyranthes Bidentata Root) (purchased from herbal shops), crush it to extract juice, mix with four or five drops of good vinegar, and drip into the nostrils. After two or three applications, the red line breaks and the blister bursts, expectoration of stasis blood brings immediate relief. Alternatively, prick the purple vein in the middle of the wrist, or pierce Xiao Shang point (see later sections on throat diseases for details) to discharge evil blood, which is even more miraculous.
This condition arises on both sides of the throat, either singly or doubly, the size of a longan fruit, wrapped in red filaments resembling a tumor. It is caused by heat in the Lung Meridian. Knives must strictly be avoided. Internally administer Yiqi Shufeng Tang (Qi-Boosting and Wind-Dispersing Decoction): Gancao (Licorice Root), Jiegeng (Platycodon Root), Chuanxiong (Sichuan Lovage Rhizome), Danggui (Angelica Sinensis), Shengdi (Rehmannia Root), Shengma (Cimicifuga Rhizome), Baishao (White Peony Root), Huafen (Trichosanthes Root), Huangqin (Scutellaria Root), Maidong (Ophiopogon Tuber), Qianhu (Peucedanum Root), Qingpi (Aurantium Peel), Gange (Kudzu Root), Lianqiao (Forsythia Fruit), Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia Root), Baijili (Tribulus Fruit). Decoct in water and take orally. Externally, use She Xiang (Musk) and Shang Bingpian (Borneol) each 3 fen, Chuanlian (Coptis Rhizome) 2 fen, grind into powder, and blow into the affected area frequently. Alternatively, prick the purple vein in the middle of the wrist, or pierce Shaoshang point, which is also wonderful.
This is Phlegm Knotting. Use Haizao (Sargassum), Banxia (Pinellia Rhizome), Baijiezi (White Mustard Seed), Beimu (Fritillaria Bulb), Nanting (Arisaema Rhizome) each 3 qian, Gaolishen (Korean Ginseng) 3 qian, Fuling (Poria) 5 qian, Kunbu (Kelp), Jiegeng (Platycodon Root), Gancao (Licorice Root) each 1 qian, Zhi Fuzi (Prepared Aconite Root) 1 qian. Decoct in water and take orally.
Half-green, half-yellow plums, each preserved with 1 liang of salt (insufficient salt is ineffective). Marinate for one day and night, then sun-dry. Repeat marinating and drying until the salt water is exhausted. For use, sandwich two salted plums between three bronze coins, bind tightly with hemp thread, place in a porcelain jar, seal, and bury underground for one hundred days before retrieving. Each time, take one salted plum, hold in the mouth, and swallow the juice into the throat; the swelling dissipates in half an hour. Those stored for one year are best; the older, the better, with infinite efficacy.
Another method:服用 Zilong Wan (Dragon Larva Pill) (see section on Yin Abscesses); taking this is most effective.
