Treats severe malignant conditions such as Ding Chuang (carbuncle/furuncle) and Fa Bei (back carbuncle). Take Chan Su (Toad Venom, dissolved in wine), Qing Fen (Calomel), She Xiang (Musk) each 0.5 fen; Ku Fan (Alum), Han Shui Shi (Niter), Tong Lv (Malachite), Ru Xiang (Frankincense), Mo Yao (Myrrh) each 1 qian; Zhu Sha (Cinnabar) 3 qian; Wo Niu (Snail) 20 pieces (fewer is acceptable). Grind them together into powder. Alternatively, use the snails or a paste made with wine to form pills. (Refer to this formula in conjunction with the "Dui Kou" formula for the neck section in Volume I.) At the initial stage, crush Narcissus bulb roots and apply around the periphery of the lesion, leaving one hole in the center. If the abscess has not formed, it will dissipate immediately; if pus has formed, slight discharge followed by immediate healing occurs.
Additionally, Ji Yu Xian Fang (Miraculous Carp Formula) treats Dui Kou Chuang (carbuncle at the back of the neck) and all early-stage white Yin Ju (cold abscesses). Use one live carp, a piece of raw Shan Yao (Chinese Yam, same length as the fish), and 2 qian of white sugar. Pound them into an extremely fine paste and apply to the affected area for miraculous efficacy. For early-stage Luo Li (scrofula) and Ru Yong (mastitis), add La Zao (aged pork lard residue) when pounding and applying, which is also effective.
Another formula: Bai Ju Hua (White Chrysanthemum Flower) 4 liang, Sheng Cao Jie (Raw Licorice Nodes) 4 qian. Decoct in water and take orally for immediate dissipation.
Another formula: Wu Yang Jiao (Black Sheep Horn). Burn to ash while preserving its medicinal properties, grind into powder, and mix with sugar and wine for topical application. Immediate healing ensues.
Another formula: One large live carp, pounded in a clay basin. Add 4 liang of Tou Fa Gou (hair垢 from combing human hair), mix evenly, and apply thickly to the lesion. Cover with paper for one to two days until healed. Adding one strip of raw Shan Yao (Chinese Yam) when pounding also treats Ru Yong (mastitis) and Luo Li (scrofula).
Another formula: Take the foul flesh from the corner of a male pig's eye (shaped like a kidney, with marbled patterns). Use however many pieces are needed according to the size of the wound, and pound together with glutinous rice flour into a paste.
Another formula: Take one male pig kidney, cut it open while hot, and apply it to the Dui Kou Chuang site. Wrap tightly with cloth. Replace with a fresh pig kidney after about one hour.
Furthermore, there was a case where a person developed a toxic carbuncle on the waist, red and swollen but unbroken skin, causing unbearable pain such that they could only walk bent over. A practitioner took a freshly slaughtered male pig liver, sliced it to match the size of the wound, and applied it to the lesion. It was secured with cloth wrapping. After one day and night, the disease was cured. The liver turned black and emitted an unbearable stench.
Another formula: To treat Dui Kou Chuang, use fresh Xia Ku Cao (Prunella Vulgaris), add a little salt and saliva, pound into a paste, and apply to the affected area. If the abscess has formed, leave the head uncovered; if not, cover fully. Healing occurs after three applications.
For any early-stage Dui Kou Chuang, whether lateral or central, use one piece of She Tui (Snake Slough), burn to ash, and take mixed with good wine for immediate healing. Alternatively, the method of placing a Toad (La Xi Ma) on the wound to draw out toxins is effective for both Dui Kou Chuang and Fa Bei.
