This is a manifestation of Spleen-Stomach Deficiency-Cold (deficiency and cold in the Spleen and Stomach). Take Evodiae Fructus (Wuyu) 4 qian (soak in boiling water to remove bitterness), decoct with water, and take well after meals. Someone who suffered from this for many years was cured after one dose.
One may also add Zingiberis Rhizoma (Ganjiang) 1 qian. Avoid night food, and avoid raw and cold foods.
Another prescription: Chew Walnut Kernel (Hetao Ren) until mashed, and swallow with Ginger Decoction (Jiang Tang).
Dioscoreae Rhizoma (Shanyao), half raw and half stir-fried, ground into fine powder, taken with Rice Decoction (Mitang) 2 qian, twice daily. Avoid iron vessels.
The above three prescriptions, as well as the subsequent Crucian Carp (Jiyu) and Tangerine Peel (Chenpi) prescriptions, can all be used.
Sand is stir-fried until charred, then boiled with water again. After clarification, drink it, and the condition will dissipate.
Another prescription: Eat two or three raw Garlic Bulbs (Suan Tou), which is also effective. Or take Amomi Fructus (Sharen) 1-2 qian.
Someone had cold stagnation in the stomach that persisted for years without cure. Later, a famous physician diagnosed it as Shizhu (a chronic, lingering disease often associated with parasitic or infectious etiologies in ancient texts). The patient was cured by drinking water boiled from a pillow found in a dead person's coffin.
Boil Crucian Carp (Jiyu) with Fermented Soybean Paste (Douchi), Piperis Nigrum (Hujiao), old Ginger (Laojiang), and Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (Chenpi). Eat on an empty stomach.
Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (Chenpi) 1 jin (do not use Pomelo or Orange peel), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao) and Sodium Chloride (Yanshi) each 4 liang, with 5 bowls of water. Slowly boil until dry, bake into powder, and take 2-3 qian per dose.
Someone consumed too many boiled eggs, leading to chest and stomach accumulation that persisted for years. Later, they ate half a jin of boiled garlic and vomited a mass; upon inspection, it resembled a chick. After taking this several times, vomiting over ten masses led to recovery.
These methods also treat vomiting of fluid due to Phlegm-Fluid retention. Warm Stomach Plaster (Nuangao): Fresh Ginger (Shengjiang) 1 jin, crushed to extract natural juice (about one bowl). Add Ox Hide Glue (Niujiaojiao), Boswelliae Resina (Ruxiang) powder, and Myrrhae Resina (Moyao) powder, each 5 qian. Decoct together until the glue melts, then remove from fire. Form into three or four large plasters. Apply one plaster to the area of epigastric pain, bind tightly with silk for three shichen (6 hours), then remove. Take a pair of shoes worn by a one-year-old infant, heat them extremely hot on a copper gong, and alternate熨烫 (ironing/moxibustion-like heating) over the fresh plaster. Iron until the plaster hardens, replace with a new plaster, bind for another three shichen, and iron again until healed. Afterwards, use Purple Oil Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex (Ziyou Nongpu) 3 liang (boiled with 2 liang of sliced old ginger for one shichen, discard ginger), and Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (Ganjiang - note: text says Ganjiang but processing implies dried/processed ginger, usually Zingiberis Rhizoma Dried) 4 liang (boiled with 2 liang of Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma for one shichen, discard licorice). Stir-fry these two ingredients until dry, grind into fine powder. Use Black Date (Heizao) decoction (peeled and pitted) to form pills. Take ... per dose.
