To treat infants with internal accumulation of fetal heat, resulting in sores on the mouth and tongue, as well as edema caused by Yang Water (Yang-type edema), constipation, and dark red urine, this formula is used to dredge and regulate the Zang-Fu organs. [Ingredients include]: Rhizoma et Radix Rhei (Dahuang, 大黄) (stir-fried with wine), Cortex Phellodendri Amurensis (Chuanbai, 川柏), Fructus Forsythiae (Lianqiao, 连翘), Semen Arecae (Binglang, 槟榔).
To treat the initial stages of infant Sha syndrome (a type of infectious disease characterized by skin eruptions), measles, as well as convulsions and spasms caused by wind-phlegm, this formula is used to clear and resolve pathogenic factors from both the exterior and interior. [Ingredients include]: Radix Notopterygii (Qianghuo, 羌活), Radix Angelicae Pubescentis (Duohuo, 独活), Radix Bupleuri (Chaihu, 柴胡), Radix Peucedani (Qianhu, 前胡), Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae (Zhike, 枳壳), Radix Platycodi (Jiegeng, 桔梗), Rhizoma Pinelliae Preparatum (Faxia, 法夏), Poria (Fuling, 茯苓), Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae (Chenpi, 陈皮), Radix Glycyrrhizae (Gancao, 甘草), Rhizoma Cimicifugae (Shengma, 升麻), Radix Puerariae (Gegen, 葛根), Radix Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong, 川芎), Radix Paeoniae Rubra (Chishao, 赤芍), Folium Viticis Negundo (Huoxiangye, 藿香叶), Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis (Noupu, 厚朴) (stir-fried), Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae (Cangzhu, 苍术) (processed).
The above compiled formulas are used to treat carbuncles, ulcers, and various toxic sores. If within seven days of onset, the lesion has not yet formed, and the patient’s physique is strong with pulse and symptoms indicating excess patterns, methods such as inducing sweating, purging, clearing/resolving, or warming/dispersing may be selected according to the condition. As long as swelling subsides and pain stops, and both exterior and interior pathogens are resolved, the toxin will naturally dissipate internally. However, if more than seven days have passed and the condition has stabilized, formulas for supporting the interior and detoxifying, or penetrating pus and draining suppuration, should be used. This brings the toxin to the surface to accelerate efficacy. If dispersing and purging agents are still used, it is feared that the Original Qi (Yuanqi, 元气) will be damaged, leading to complicated syndromes; therefore, caution is advised!

For lesions in the lower body, take the medicine first, then drink alcohol to promote downward movement. For lesions in the middle body, take the medicine mixed with alcohol.
To treat carbuncles and ulcers after seven days, where swelling and pain persist as before, taking this formula can resolve unformed pus or rupture formed pus, facilitating the expulsion of necrotic tissue and the growth of new flesh.
