For all cases of scabies, whether dry or wet, use equal parts of Piperis Fructus (Hu Jiao) and Realgar (Liu Huang), grind them into powder, and pound them together with raw lard until they form a paste. Wrap the mixture in cloth, heat it slightly over a mild fire, and apply it to the affected area. The scabs will fall off within three to five days, leading to recovery.
Another prescription for scabies and tinea: Wash the affected area with the juice extracted from calcined stone (Duan Shi). Recovery occurs after several washes.
Another prescription: Chew salt and apply it to the affected area.
Another prescription for persistent, widespread scabies: Use equal parts of Polygoni Multiflori Radix Praeparata (He Shou Wu) and Artemisiae Argyi Folium (Ai Ye). Decoct in water to make a strong decoction for bathing.
Yet another prescription for scabies: Take one pig stomach, insert 5 qian of Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus (Ya Zao), boil until soft, remove the Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus, and eat the stomach. Consuming ten such preparations over one month prevents recurrence. If the taste is bland and difficult to swallow, dipping it in Sichuan pepper (Chuan Jiao) and salt is also acceptable.
Yet another prescription: Use 3 qian of Cynanchum Atrati Radix (Bai Wei), 2 qian each of Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (Bai Zhi) and fried Sichuan pepper (Chuan Jiao), 5 qian each of Rheum Palmatum Radix (Da Huang) and Alum (Ming Fan), 1 qian each of Cnidii Fructus (She Chuang Zi) and Realgar (Xiong Huang), 2 qian each of Camellia Sinensis Folium (Xi Cha Ye) and Stemona Radix (Bai Bu), 2 qian of Calcitum (Han Shui Shi) (ground separately), and 1 qian of Borneolum Syntheticum (Zhang Nao) (added just before use). Grind all ingredients into a fine powder and mix with raw lard fat.
Yet another prescription: Use 3 qian each of Cnidii Fructus (She Chuang Zi), Semen Juglandis Manciuriensis (Da Feng Zi Rou), Mirabilite (Pi Xiao), and Borneolum Syntheticum (Zhang Nao), along with 1 qian of Silver Nitrate (Yin Xiao) and five oil walnuts. Grind into a fine powder, wrap in linen cloth, and apply to the affected area.
Additionally, wash the affected area with a decoction of Mentha Haplocalycis Herba (Bo He) and Stemona Radix (Bai Bu), then apply chewed raw Ginkgo Seed (Bai Guo) as a poultice.
When Yaws (Yang Mei Chuang) first begins with swelling and pain in the bones and sinews, it is appropriate to first administer Shu Feng Jie Du Tang (Wind-Dispersing and Toxin-Resolving Decoction); mild cases can be resolved.
The formula contains: 2 liang of Smilax Glabrae Rhizoma (Tu Fu Ling), 2 qian each of Dictamni Cortex (Bai Xian Pi), roasted Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus (Sao Jiao Zi), Lonicerae Japonicae Flos (Jin Yin Hua), Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fang Feng), Akebiae Caulis (Mu Tong), Papaveris Semens (Mu Gua), and Coicis Semen (Yi Yi Ren), using wine as a guiding vehicle.
Hua Du San (Toxin-Resolving Powder): 1 liang of Rheum Palmatum Radix (Da Huang), 5 qian each of dried Pangolin Scales (Chuan Shan Jia) and Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Gui Wei), 3 qian of fried Bombyx Batryticatus (Jiang Can), and one dried Scorpion (Wu Gong), ground into powder.
Another prescription: Internally take Machi Xian Gao (Purslane Paste), and externally apply mashed fresh Purslane (Ma Chi Xian) as a poultice; this is most effective.
Another prescription for treating ulcerated chancres: First, decoct equal parts of Glycine Max (Hei Dou) and Raw Licorice Root (Sheng Gan Cao) in water to make a strong decoction. Steam and wash the area first, then sprinkle E Huang San (Goose Yellow Powder). Mix equal parts of Calomel (Qing Fen), Calcined Gypsum (Shu Shi Gao), and Phellodendri Cortex (Chuan Bai) into powder, add Borneolum Syntheticum (Bing Pian), and grind evenly. Sprinkle directly if moist; if dry, mix with bile or sesame oil for application. For fungating yaws, add Realgar (Xiong Huang) powder.
Another prescription for yaws chancres: Take one large toad, place 3 qian of Realgar (Xiong Huang) powder inside its mouth, add 5 jin of aged wine, seal in a clay jar, and steam over water for the duration of three incense sticks. Drink an appropriate amount while warm.
Another prescription for early-stage yaws toxin: Use tens of jin of Smilax Glabrae Rhizoma (Tu Fu Ling), soak in urine of a young boy overnight, dry, and take 4 liang per dose. Decoct in water and drink as tea. Avoid regular tea. Long-term use leads to self-healing.
Another prescription: For early-stage yaws, immediate treatment ensures cure with miraculous effect. Burn sheep horns and black peach shells to ash while retaining their properties, grind into fine powder in equal parts. Take half a qian per dose, mixed with wine, taken morning and evening. After four days, toxins are expelled through stool, resembling blood and pus. After half a month when toxins are cleared, assess the patient's deficiency or excess; if deficient, tonify with Ba Zhen Tang (Eight Treasures Decoction).
Another prescription: 1.5 qian of high-quality Realgar (Xiong Huang), 30 peeled Almond Seeds (Xing Ren), and 1 qian of Calomel (Qing Fen). Grind into fine powder. After cleaning the area, apply mixed with pig bile.
For yaws occurring on the anterior genitals, presenting with redness, swelling, ulceration, and pain, use the Chan Chuang Fang (Chancre Prescription): Decoct equal parts of Glycine Max (Hei Dou) and Raw Licorice Root (Sheng Gan Cao - either nodes or tips) in water... [Text incomplete].
Additionally, for yaws chancre that is broken, putrid, and foul-smelling, use Feng Huang Yi San (Phoenix Feather Powder): 1 qian of Chicken Eggshell Membrane (Feng Huang Yi), 4 fen of Calomel (Qing Fen), 1 qian of Red Lead (Huang Dan), and 3 fen of Borneolum Syntheticum (Bing Pian). Grind into extremely fine powder and frequently sprinkle dry onto the lesion.
Additionally, a highly effective prescription for yaws: 7 qian each of Lonicerae Japonicae Flos (Jin Yin Hua), Gleditsiae Sinensis Spina (Sao Jiao Ci), Bombyx Batryticatus (Jiang Can), and Bombyx Batryticatus (Chan Tui), and 7 peeled and de-seeded Almond Seeds (Xing Ren)... [Text incomplete].
Additionally, a divine prescription for yaws: Place 1 liang of Mercury (Shui Yin) in a mortar, grind with saliva until it forms a paste. Add high-quality Sesame Oil (Ma You) and grind further. Divide into seven portions. Take one portion daily, rub between palms. Avoid wind for seven days and strictly avoid greasy foods and stimulating substances.
In treating yaws toxin, never take elixirs. Strictly avoid all stimulating foods and sexual exhaustion. For those with robust constitution, focus on resolving toxins; for the weak, combine tonification. Mild cases take six months, severe cases one year, to fully recover. Do not seek rapid results by forcibly taking Calomel (Qing Fen) or Mercury (Shui Yin), nor recklessly use fumigation or covering methods to purge toxins, lest residual toxins hide in the bone marrow and joints, causing rebound yaws chancres. Exercise caution. Smilax Glabrae Rhizoma (Tu Fu Ling) is an essential herb for yaws, but do not overdose, as it may affect fertility.
Another divine prescription: Equal parts of Mirabilite (Pu Xiao) and Liu Yi San (Six-to-One Powder). Grind into fine powder. Take 3 qian per dose, twice daily (morning and evening).
