Use one liang of cottonseed kernels, decoct in water to make a wash for frequent application; the swelling will naturally subside.
Alternatively, for testicular swelling as large as a dou (a unit of volume), crush fresh Vitex trifolia root and apply it externally as a poultice; it will heal immediately.
Another formula for painful scrotal cysts: Crush white parts of Allium fistulosum (scallion) and Boswellia carterii (frankincense) together and apply externally; the swelling will dissipate instantly.

Grind rosin into powder, roll into paper tubes, place three grains of Zanthoxylum bungeanum (Sichuan pepper) in each tube, and soak them in lamp oil for three nights. Extract the oil by burning the tube and collecting the dripping oil for external application. Before each use, wash the area with tea soup first.

Burn human hair to ash, dry-fry Perilla frutescens leaves until dry, and burn Phyllostachys heterocycla var. pubescens (bamboo) bark to ash. Grind them together into powder. If the ulcer is moist, sprinkle the dry powder directly; if dry, mix with Qingyou (green sesame oil or similar vegetable oil) for topical application. If the scrotum is ulcerated without skin, wrapping it with Perilla frutescens leaves will lead to healing.

Decoct Atractylodes lancea and Glycyrrhiza uralensis (licorice) in water, wash the affected area clean and dry it, then apply powder made from Terminalia chebula (chebulic myrobalan). It will heal within a few days.

Burn dried Luffa cylindrica leaves until charred but retaining medicinal properties (3 qian), and burn eggshells to ash (2 qian). Mix with warm wine for oral administration.
Another formula for treating unilateral testicular descent (predisposition): Crush fresh ginger to extract its natural juice, mix with Gongfen (lead carbonate, historically used but toxic; note: modern context implies a specific cosmetic powder or substitute, strictly translated here as historical term), and apply externally. It heals after several applications. Avoid "fa wu" (trigger foods), sexual intercourse, and emotional anger for several days.

The lesion arises at the urethral meatus (anterior to defecation, posterior to urination). In the initial stage, use Neixiaosan (Internal Dissolving Powder): Grind four liang of Gancao Jie (licorice nodes) into powder, add five fen of Gaojiao (Gleditsia sinensis fruit) powder, divide into four doses, and take with boiling water; the swelling will dissipate immediately. For the healing phase, administer Liuwei Dihuang Tang (Six-Ingredient Rehmannia Decoction).

Grind Katechu and Borneol into an extremely fine powder and sprinkle it dry onto the lesion for excellent efficacy.
Additionally, for ulcers on the glans penis, even those resembling candle wax flowers, grind Xanthoxyli Fructus (Xanthoxylum) into Sesamum indicum oil and apply topically; it will heal over time.
Another formula: Take a clump of loose hair, wash thoroughly with salt water to remove oil, then rinse with clear water until perfectly clean. Roast on a tile until charred black. Roast seven jujube pits on a tile until charred. Grind all into fine powder. First, wash the ulcer with licorice decoction and dry it. Then, frequently apply the powder; it will heal spontaneously.
Yet another formula: Grind raw licorice into powder, mix with raw white honey, and apply topically for excellent results.
Another formula for chancre (hard chancre/syphilitic ulcer): Mix equal parts of Mingfan (alum) and Zaofan (vitriol). Place the mixture inside a large Terminalia chebula fruit, roast on a tile until ashed but retaining medicinal properties, and grind into fine powder. Add three fen of borneol and a small amount of katechu, grind uniformly, and apply topically for immediate healing.
