治牙龈腐烂，流白脓。胡桐泪、白芷、川芎、细辛各钱半，寒水石、焦地黄各二钱，青
盐一分。共研末，频搽牙根，良久盐汤漱去，再搽再漱。
治牙龈动摇兼疼痛者。酒浸胆草一两半，羌活、地骨皮各一两，升麻四钱，晒研极细
，日搽三次，良久，温水漱去。
治牙疳、虫牙痛。焙人中白（ ）、皂矾、五倍子、槟榔片各二钱，冰片五厘。共研细
末
治虫牙、诸牙痛。川椒七粒，巴豆肉一粒。共研极细，捣饭糊作一丸，薄棉包裹，咬在
痛齿上下，静坐勿动，俟吐出恶涎，良久取下，用茶汤漱口，三次自愈。
治小儿重龈，肿如水泡，用针刺破，棉蘸盐汤拭净，搽此，朱砂、硼砂各五分，朴硝一
分，冰片五厘。共研极细，每搽一字。
治舌上生孔、衄血或腐。螺青一钱（另研细），生蒲黄一钱半，合共研匀，频频涂搽，
后
治重舌、木舌，先用银针从旁刺破出血，茶水漱净，搽此。蒲黄、青黛、硼砂、朴硝、
甘草等分，研末，或吹或搽，治小舌掉下加朱砂。
治舌下近根处肿痛者。焙人中白、乳炒黄连、川柏、硼砂、青黛各一钱，朴硝五分，冰
片一分。共研极细，频频吹搽。
治 舌，胀大肿硬，气息不通。皂矾一两（瓦上焙红，刮取研细），时时涂搽自消。
中毒，舌胀退场门，鸡冠血趁热频涂。白矾末涂亦效。
Treats gingival ulceration with discharge of white pus. Take Hu Tong Lei (Poplar Poplar Galls), Bai Zhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix), Chuan Xiong (Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizoma), and Xi Xin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma) each 1.5 qian; Han Shui Shi (Calcitum) and Jiao Di Huang (Fried Rehmanniae Radix) each 2 qian; Qing Yan (Halitum) 1 fen. Grind all ingredients into a fine powder together. Frequently apply to the gum roots. After some time, rinse with salt water. Repeat application and rinsing.
Treats loose gums accompanied by pain. Soak Dan Cao (Gentianae Radix) in wine for 1.5 liang; Qiang Huo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix) and Di Gu Pi (Lycii Cortex) each 1 liang; Sheng Ma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma) 4 qian. Sun-dry and grind into an extremely fine powder. Apply three times daily. After some time, rinse with warm water.
Treats Ya Gan (Pyorrhea Alveolaris/Dental Gangrene) and toothache caused by dental caries. Use Ren Zhong Bai (Urea Deposit from Human Feces) calcined, Zao Fan (Vitriolum Ferrosus), Wu Bei Zi (Galla Chinensis), and Bing Lang Pian (Arecae Semen Slice) each 2 qian; Bing Pian (Borneolum Syntheticum) 5 li. Grind together into a fine powder.
Treats dental caries and various types of toothache. Use Chuan Jiao (Zanthoxyli Pericarpium) 7 grains, Ba Dou Rou (Semen Crotonis) 1 grain. Grind together into an extremely fine powder. Mash cooked rice into a paste to form one pill. Wrap thinly in cotton, place between the upper and lower teeth where the pain is located. Sit still without moving. Wait until foul saliva is expelled, then remove after some time. Rinse mouth with tea water. Self-healing occurs after three applications.
Treats infant double gums (Re Yin), swollen like water blisters. Puncture with a needle, wipe clean with cotton dipped in salt water, then apply this powder: Zhu Sha (Cinnabaris) and Peng Sha (Borax) each 5 fen; Pu Xiao (Natrii Sulfas) 1 fen; Bing Pian (Borneolum Syntheticum) 5 li. Grind together into an extremely fine powder. Apply a small amount (approx. "one character" weight) per application.
Treats holes on the tongue, epistaxis (nosebleed), or ulceration. Luo Qing (Azurite) 1 qian (ground separately into fine powder), Sheng Pu Huang (Raw Pollen Typhae) 1.5 qian. Mix and grind evenly. Apply frequently. [Text fragment ends here].
Treats heavy tongue (Chong She - swelling under tongue resembling a second tongue) and wooden tongue (Mu She - stiff tongue). First, puncture from the side with a silver needle to release blood. Rinse clean with tea water. Apply this powder: Pu Huang (Pollen Typhae), Qing Dai (Indigo Naturalis), Peng Sha (Borax), Pu Xiao (Natrii Sulfas), and Gan Cao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) in equal parts. Grind into powder. Use Ren Zhong Bai (Urea Deposit from Human Feces) calcined, Huang Lian (Coptidis Rhizoma) stir-fried with milk, Chuan Bo (Phellodendri Amurensis Cortex), Peng Sha (Borax), and Qing Dai (Indigo Naturalis) each 1 qian; Pu Xiao (Natrii Sulfas) 5 fen; Bing Pian (Borneolum Syntheticum) 1 fen. Grind together into an extremely fine powder. Insufflate or apply frequently.
Treats swollen, enlarged, hard tongue with blocked respiration. Zao Fan (Vitriolum Ferrosus) 1 liang (calcined on tile until red, scraped and ground fine). Apply frequently to resolve naturally. For poisoning causing tongue swelling retracting deep into the throat, apply fresh chicken comb blood while hot frequently. Application of Bai Fan (Alumen) powder is also effective.
