Half a *jin* (approx. 500g) of glutinous rice, the water used for washing (after removing the grains), taken warm in one bowl, will cure it immediately.
Drinking "Di Jiang" (earth slurry: liquid obtained by stirring deep yellow soil with water and letting it settle) can detoxify.
This condition is characterized by incessant vomiting and diarrhea. Use three *fen* (approx. 1g) of raw Rhinoceros Horn powder (*Rhinocerotis Cornu*), mixed with cold water and ingested, which will resolve the toxicity.
Any meat that has been tightly sealed in a closed container overnight is called "Yu Rou" (stagnant meat); any meat moistened by roof leakage is called "Lou Fu" (leaking bread/meat). Both are toxic. Drinking juice extracted from crushed Chinese chives (*Allium tuberosum*) will resolve the toxicity.
Following the previously mentioned formula for resolving hundred toxins, drinking "Di Jiang" is extremely effective.
Another prescription: One *jin* of rendered pork fat, mixed with rice or fried rice, consumed over one to two days. It is crucial not to consume other foods during these one to two days.
Powdered Phellodendron Bark (*Phellodendri Cortex*), mixed with cold water and ingested in amounts of one to two *qian* (approx. 3-6g), will resolve the toxicity. Alternatively, drinking one bowl of human milk is extremely effective.
First ingest salt water, then drink thick decoction of black soybeans (*Glycine max*), which will resolve the toxicity.
Another prescription: Cook reed rhizome (*Imperatae Rhizoma*) until soft, eat it with the soup; this is extremely effective.
Another prescription: Treating according to the previous method for resolving hundred toxins is even better.
Apricot kernels (*Armeniacae Semen Amarum*), whether raw or cooked, are harmless when ingested. However, if they are fire-roasted unevenly (half-raw, half-cooked), ingesting ten or more seeds can be fatal. Characteristics of the deceased include: closed eyes, cyanosis of the tongue, lips, ear canals, and all ten fingers on hands and feet, and blue-green pigment-like substance in the abdomen. This is sometimes used to deceive others, making it hard to guard against and difficult to treat with medicine. The only urgent measure is to induce vomiting; once vomited, the toxicity is resolved. Decoction of apricot tree bark (*Pruni Armeniacae Cortex*) drunk can save even those in a coma near death. Alternatively, dissolving one *fen* (approx. 0.3g) of Musk (*Moschus*) in water and ingesting it also works.
One *fen* (approx. 0.3g) of Musk (*Moschus*), decocted in water and ingested, resolves the toxicity immediately.
Another prescription: Decoct dried white fish head (*Gadidae*) in water and ingest; one or two doses will cure it.
A tongue swollen enough to fill the mouth indicates poisoning. Mix good vinegar with brown sugar (white sugar is also acceptable), hold it in the mouth, and spit out the saliva; repeating this several times will cure it.
Decoct radish (*Raphani Sativi Fructus*) in water and drink; this resolves the toxicity.
Following the previous method for resolving wild gelsemium (*Gelsemii Herba*) toxicity,灌ing duck blood will revive the patient.
In field ditches and mountain streams, snake venom often remains. Accidental ingestion of such water can be treated by taking large amounts of realgar (*Realgar*) mixed with water; repeated doses will lead to self-healing.
Ingesting realgar (*Realgar*) or "Di Jiang" (earth slurry) can both resolve the toxicity.
Toxicity from rice falling into water vat: If rice falls into a water vat and grows mold over time, eating it causes carbuncles (*Ding*), which are difficult to treat. Careful inspection is essential.
Toxicity from long-sealed empty rooms: Houses left closed for a long time accumulate yin-dampness, potentially harboring evil spirits or snakes/beasts. One should make loud noises to disperse them or use fire to scare them away.
Toxicity from caves and gardens: Do not eat in remote caves, old pavilions, under vines, or flowers/trees, as snakes or poisonous insects may have contaminated the food.
Heat toxicity from clothing: Sweat-soaked clothes dried in the sun but suddenly collected before rain trap solar heat/toxicity. Wearing them while sweating in summer induces heatstroke. Similarly, winter clothes dried in summer/autumn must cool completely before storage. If stored warm, wearing them later causes heat toxicity. Wear them after airing in the wind for an hour beforehand.
Herbal toxicity: Poisonous herbs exist in mountains; carefully select herbs when gathering them.
Toxicity from vase flower water: Water in vases holding tea branches is highly toxic; do not drink it.
Toxicity from overnight tea and food: Tea and food left uncovered at night may contain toxins from insects or rodents; do not drink/eat them.
Chicken toxicity: Chickens that have eaten centipedes and myriad insects for a long time become toxic to humans. Health cultivators avoid old chickens and chicken in summer. Frying chicken with beeswax (*Cera Flava/Cera Alba*) causes bloating and blockage, leading to death in three days, with no cure. Avoid chicken if taking medications containing wax, for ten days before and after.
Eel toxicity: White eels or yellow eels raising their heads above water to breathe are toxic; eating them causes death.
Fish and Schizonepeta toxicity: A woman once fed her husband fish soup and rice; schizonepeta flowers (*Schizonepetae Spica*) fell into the soup from nearby bushes, causing his death. When taking Schizonepeta (*Schizonepetae Spica*), avoid fish and shrimp for several days.
Honey toxicity: A monk in Shaozhou ate fresh honey, then bought maltose (*Yi Tang*) and ate half a *jin*, dying upon reaching home.
Pufferfish and medication toxicity: Avoid pufferfish (*Takifugu rubripes*) for several days before and after taking medication, as it is toxic.
Softshell turtle and amaranth toxicity: Eating softshell turtle (*Trionycis Carapax et Plastrum*) with amaranth (*Amaranti Caulis et Folium*) causes a small turtle to grow in the abdomen, leading to death. Drinking horse urine (*Equi Urina*) dissolves it.
Swimming wave insect toxicity: Be cautious of swimming wave insects (*likely referring to toxic shellfish like Pseudocardium*) when eating sea clams. They resemble shells/bones but lack luster on the surface. Ingestion causes madness and a desire to jump into water, resembling possession. Vinegar cures it immediately.
Roof leak water toxicity: Food contaminated by roof drip water is toxic.
Anomalies in animals: Animals with double tails, crabs with single claws, sheep with one horn, chickens with four feet, black-headed white birds, white-headed black chickens, horses with green/black hooves. Meat that does not touch dust when dropped, remains warm overnight, does not dry when roasted, or moves in water. Also, animals with normal skin/flesh but altered internal organs (e.g., dark green liver, purple-black kidneys), fish without intestines/gallbladders, cows with single-lobe livers. Combining fish with deer meat, mutton with cheese, excessive mutton with raw pepper, pork with cilantro (*Coriandri Herba*) are all fatal.
Raw fish with butter/milk transforms into worms; beef/pork together causes tapeworms (*Taenia*). Pork/mutton cooked with mulberry/cornus wood also causes tapeworms. Persimmons with crab or mutton cause dysentery and abdominal pain, possibly fatal.
Fruits with anomalies: Roots likely hide poisonous snakes. Unripe fruits cause abscesses and fever/chills. Fruits touched by insects on the ground cause hemorrhoids/fistulas. Fruits with double stems, double seeds, or sinking in water are toxic and inedible.
Food combinations to avoid: Pork with buckwheat, sunflower herb (*Helianthi Tuberosi Rhizoma*), cilantro, plum, fried beans, turtle/tortoise, quail, donkey/horse meat. Mutton with plum, beans, buckwheat, raw fish slices, persimmon cake. Beef with chestnut, Chinese chive, [missing character], dog meat, broomcorn millet. Dog meat with water caltrop, beef, chicken, carp, eel, loach, scallion, garlic. Donkey meat with Schizonepeta (*Schizonepetae Spica*) is highly toxic. Rabbit meat with ginger, tangerine peel, mustard, chicken, deer, otter. Chicken with beeswax (fatal), garlic, mustard greens, plum, otter, rabbit, dog, turtle, pheasant. Duck with plum, turtle. Quail with mushrooms. [Text fragment: Li Zi enters water and does not sink, inedible. Persimmon and baked green giant inedible together. Liquor and ginger damage lungs. Liquor stewed in tin vessels and drunk overnight is fatal. Roof leak water on meat must be washed off. Floating pork is inedible. Pork fat with plum is incompatible. Pheasant with bird/beast meat is fatal. Dog meat with water caltrop causes leprosy. Bird meat with green liver is toxic. Cover water vats in summer to prevent snakes/scorpions mating/drinking, which causes death or pregnancy of snake fetus in women.]
