又方∶一人好饮酒，每次二三杯，必奔走三五十次，有时心痛，口吐黄水，后用药吐出
一物如蛇，乃酒症也。又一人好饮酒，终日沉醉，无酒则叫号不绝，日就瘦弱，家中令人用
绳缚住手足，取好酒一坛于口边，使酒气冲入口中，须臾，吐出一物如猪肝样，有多孔，其
人从此不饮，亦无他恙。
甜瓜蒂、藜芦（即藜蒿），煎水服，使再呕吐而愈。盖醉伤呕吐倒胆，视物倒颠，药后

四物饮∶赤沙糖一斤，生甘草一斤，川贝母一两（去心，研细），老姜四两，先用鸦片

即断。如瘾极重者，取已煎之汁重煎之，十杯煎成一杯，再服必效。有人二十余年老瘾，照
此戒断，不可轻视。
又方∶南瓜藤取汁，调红糖（黄糖亦可）饮之，神效。又已戒烟之人，平时多食南瓜，

又方∶粟壳斤半（蜜炙透），台党参一斤，川杜仲六两，盐砂仁二两（研末），炮姜五两，
广陈皮二两，坚云苓四两，焦查肉六两，用水一大锅，煮半日许，将渣沥净，再用微火熬成
膏，将砂仁末搅入瓷罐收贮。瘾发时，随瘾之大小，白开水化服。无论瘾之新久，无不断也
。瘾来时，腹痛加肉桂一两，炙草二两；咳嗽加苦杏仁一两，研成泥，麦冬一两，蜂蜜四两
，陈皮二两；浑身发摊，党参加倍用；泻者加茯苓、炮姜加倍用；腰痛者加杜仲三两，不欲
食者加砂仁一两；气下坠者，党参加倍用；大便滞者加蜂蜜三两；肝气发者加当归四两，姜
香附二两。
又方∶真淮山药、茯苓、法夏、杜仲、鹤虱、旋复花、款冬花各三钱、加大烟灰三钱、
河水熬成一面碗、去渣，分十余次兑酒服。早瘾早服，晚瘾晚服，无论新久，无不断者，已
验多人，甚效。
又方∶罂粟壳八钱，陈皮八分，查炭一钱，焦术五分，炮姜八分，杜仲一钱，甘草二钱
，炙 三钱，香附七分，真台党一两，上药每日一服，服至月余，其瘾必断。已验多人，并
无后患。
又方∶每日用鳝鱼一二条，滴血冲酒，轻者吃四五十条，重者百余条。饮此酒大补气血
，鱼又可以脍食，根据此饮之，不断自断，购烟远避。
又方∶用甘草一味熬膏，调入烟中吸食，二三日即渐不欲吸。此方最易，既不费钱，又
不伤人，断后并无烟痢之疾。瘾深者照法治之，一月即断。
又方∶顶上台党二两，金银花、旋复花、大生地各五钱，麦冬、天冬、炒白芍、真云苓
、木瓜各三钱，吴萸、柴胡各一钱，沙苑（此味以皮货店为真，各药店均系假充）、杜仲各

[Alcohol Tortoise (Jiu Gui)]
Use a pair of sparrows (also known as tile sparrows), crush them with feathers, boil in wine, and take orally. After a short while, the "alcohol tortoise" (pathological product formed by long-term alcohol consumption) will be expelled naturally. From then on, abstain from all alcohol, and the body will remain healthy.
Another prescription: A person fond of drinking would consume two or three cups each time, followed by running back and forth thirty to fifty times; sometimes experiencing heart pain and vomiting yellow fluid. Later, medication induced vomiting, expelling an object resembling a snake, which is termed "alcohol syndrome." Another person was addicted to drinking, remaining intoxicated all day long, crying incessantly when deprived of alcohol, becoming increasingly emaciated and weak. Family members tied his hands and feet with ropes, placed a jar of fine wine near his mouth, allowing the aroma to enter his nostrils and mouth. Shortly after, he vomited an object resembling a pig liver with multiple pores. This person subsequently stopped drinking and suffered no other ailments.
[Vomiting and Inverted Vision after Intoxication]
Prepare a decoction of Melon Pedicel (Tianguadi) and Veratrum (Lilu, i.e., Lihao). Take orally to induce further vomiting for cure. Another prescription: Poppy Shell (Yingsuke) one jin half (honey-fried thoroughly), Codonopsis Root (Tai Dangshen) one jin, Eucommia Bark (Chuan Duzhong) six liang, Salt-processed Amomum Fruit (Yan Sharen) two liang (grind into powder), Prepared Ginger (Pao Jiang) five liang, Broad-leaved Tangerine Peel (Guang Chenpi) two liang, Poria (Jian Yunling) four liang, Charred Hawthorn Meat (Jiao Zharon Rou) six liang. Add a large pot of water, simmer for about half a day. Strain out the dregs, then simmer gently over low heat until a paste forms. Stir in the Amomum powder and store in a porcelain jar. When cravings strike, dissolve an appropriate amount in plain boiled water according to the severity of the craving. Whether the addiction is new or old, it can be cured. If abdominal pain occurs during cravings, add Cinnamon Twig (Rougui) one liang and Honey-fried Licorice Root (Zhi Cao) two liang; if coughing occurs, add Bitter Apricot Kernel (Ku Xingren) one liang (ground into paste), Ophiopogon Tuber (Maidong) one liang, Honey four liang, and Tangerine Peel (Chenpi) two liang; if general paralysis/weakness occurs, double the dosage of Codonopsis; if diarrhea occurs, double the dosage of Poria and Prepared Ginger; if lower back pain occurs, add Eucommia Bark (Duzhong) three liang; if loss of appetite occurs, add Amomum Fruit (Sharen) one liang; if sensation of qi sinking occurs, double the dosage of Codonopsis; if constipation/stagnation occurs, add Honey three liang; if Liver Qi stagnation manifests, add Angelica Sinensis (Danggui) four liang and Cyperus Rhizome (Xiangfu) two liang.
Another prescription: True Huai Yam (Huai Shanyao), Poria, Processed Pinellia (Fa Xia), Eucommia Bark, Nematode Worm (Heshi), Inula Flower (Xuanfuhua), and Coltsfoot Flower (Kundonghua) each three qian (approx. 11.25g), plus Opium Ash three qian. Decoct in river water until the volume reduces to one bowl. Strain the dregs, divide into more than ten doses, and take mixed with wine. Take early dose for morning craving, late dose for evening craving. Regardless of duration, cessation is achieved. Verified on many individuals, highly effective.
Another prescription: Poppy Shell eight qian, Tangerine Peel eight fen, Charred Hawthorn one qian, Charred Atractylodes Five fen, Prepared Ginger eight fen, Eucommia Bark one qian, Licorice Root two qian, Honey-fried [Licorice Root] three qian, Cyperus Rhizome seven fen, True Tai Codonopsis one liang. Take these herbs once daily. After more than a month of treatment, the addiction will surely cease. Verified on many individuals with no aftereffects.
Another prescription: Use one or two eels daily, mix with blood and wine. Mild cases require consuming forty to fifty eels; severe cases require over a hundred. Drinking this wine greatly tonifies Qi and Blood. The fish meat can also be eaten. Following this regimen leads to natural cessation of addiction, avoiding tobacco purchase.
Another prescription: Use only Licorice Root (Gancao) to make a paste, mix into tobacco for smoking. Within two or three days, the desire to smoke gradually diminishes. This prescription is easiest, costs nothing, harms no one, and prevents tobacco-induced dysentery after cessation. For deep-seated addiction, follow this method for one month to achieve cessation.
