子母分张矣!
Foshou San (Buddha's Hand Powder): Use 2 liang of Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) and 1 liang of Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma). If the blood qi is vigorous, the fetus will naturally be delivered. It is suitable for all cases of inducing labor, especially for those with Qi and Blood deficiency, who must take it. If the amniotic sac has already ruptured, fearing dryness, it is appropriate to add 2-3 qian of Dongkuizi (Malvae Semen).
Ertui San (Two-Shedding Powder): One strip of white Shetui (Ophichthidis Corium), 1 qian of Cantui (Bombyx Batryticatus), processed to retain its properties (charred but not carbonized), taken with wine. *Bencao Gangmu* states: Ertui San should be decocted with Yubaipi (Ulmus Rubra Cortex) and mixed with 2 qian of the powder; after taking three doses continuously, once pain is felt, the baby will be born.
Sandui Liuyi San (Three-Sheddings Six-One Powder): Shetui (Ophichthidis Corium), Cantui (Bombyx Batryticatus), and Chantui (Cicadae Periostracum) in equal amounts, 1 qian of Huashi (Talcum), 1 qian of Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma). Grind together into fine powder, taken with wine.
Sandui San (Three-Sheddings Powder): Rentui (Human hair shed by males), a丸 the size of a chicken egg, 14 Chantui (Cicadae Periostracum), one strip of Shetui (Ophichthidis Corium). All are burned to ash and ground into powder, divided into doses. (Note: Original text here is incomplete).
Guixiang San (Cinnamon Fragrance Powder): 1 liang of Guixin (Ligni Cinnamomi Cassiae), 3 qian of Guangui (Cinnamomi Cortex). Grind into powder, mix evenly as a single dose. Within a short time, the fetus will be expelled as if pushed out by hand. This is a formula for expelling dead fetuses and should be used with caution.
Huaxue Yin (Blood-Slipping Decoction): 6 qian of Guishen (Radix Angelicae Sinensis), 3 qian each of Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma) and Yimucao (Leonuri Herba), 1 he of Dongkuizi (Malvae Semen), 1 liang of Ejiao (Colla Corii Asini) stir-fried, 3 qian of Huashi (Talcum). Decoct in water and take. For cases where the amniotic sac has ruptured but the fetus has not been delivered, take 6 qian per dose, continuing for 2-3 doses. Another prescription adds 1 liang of Suyou (Butyrum).
Jingyan Cuisheng Mifang (Experience-Based Secret Formula for Inducing Labor): 1 liang of Yujiao (Ichthyoscolla Gelatinum). Wrap the Yujiao in one chi of red cotton cloth, store in a jar and seal tightly, process over fire to retain properties, then grind into powder. Take 1 qian per dose, mixed with half a zhan each of Xiangyou (Sesame Oil), Fengmi (Honey), and Jiu (Alcohol). The fetus will be delivered immediately.
Commentary: This formula originates from the archives of the Secretariat. It is miraculous for cases where the amniotic fluid has broken and dried up, yet the fetus remains undelivered.
Youmi Jian (Oil-Honey Decoction): Mix one bowl each of Xiangyou (Sesame Oil), Fengmi (Honey), and Tongbian (Child's Urine). Boil three times in a copper pot over slow heat, skim off the foam, and mix in 1 liang of Baishihuaishi (White Talcum) or alternatively Yimucao (Leonuri Herba). Stir well and stew to drink. Externally, massage the mother's abdomen above and below the navel with the oil and honey mixture. This is the best method for treating difficult labor, dried amniotic fluids, and retained placenta. *Bencao Gangmu* states: This formula is very reliable, as Tongbian has the property of breaking blood stasis and guiding turbid yin downward, and the external massage method is even more ingenious.
Cuisheng Rusheng San (Induction Like the Sage Powder): Huangkuizi (Abelmoschi Moschatus Semen) in any amount, baked dry and ground into powder. Take 2 qian mixed with hot wine; the effect is divine. If Huangkuizi is unavailable, the flower can be used. For cases of leaking blood leading to dryness, difficult labor, and extreme pain, take three doses consecutively. After a while, abdominal qi will fill and the fetus will slip smoothly, resulting in delivery within moments. This should only be taken after normal delivery. For a dead fetus caused by trauma, take with Honghua (Carthami Flos) and wine. Another saying: Roast 70 grains of Huangkuizi; taking them during difficult labor prevents crying.
Huatuo Zhoubian Fang (Formulas from Hua Duo's Elbow Manual): 3 kernels of Badou (Crotonis Fructus), 7 seeds of Bimamu (Ricini Semen), a small amount of Shexiang (Moschus). Grind together into a paste, shape into cakes, and apply to the umbilicus. Within a short time, the mother and child will separate (the fetus will be delivered).
