Postpartum Treatment Methods

On the first day, if there are no symptoms, only administer Heishen San (Black Divine Powder).
On the second and third days, administer Yangrou Tang (Mutton Decoction); continue administration on the fifth day regardless of the presence or absence of symptoms.

Moxibustion and Medicinal Methods for Breast Abscess
Moxibustiate Rugen (ST18) acupoints, located 1.6 cun below the nipple, three or five moxa cones; administer Xiaoxijiao Wan (Small Rhinoceros Horn Pill); for formed abscesses, apply Yunmu Gao (Mica Plaster).

Treatment for Common Diseases in Deficient Individuals
For severe constipation, take Wushe Huangjing Wan (Black Snake Polygonatum Pill); for sinking of the spleen and stomach, take Nanhuan Wan (Magnolia Bark Pill) and Huoxiang San (Patchouli Powder); for cold qi not overcoming, take Sanjian Wan (Three-Building Pill); for Qi-type constipation, take Bichengqie Wan (Schisandra Berry Pill); for weakness in waist and knees and inability to walk, take Niuxi Wan (Achyranthes Pill), which also treats wind. Wushe Huangjing Wan is particularly effective when taken when stool is not constipated.

Zelan Tang (Lycopus Decoction)
Treats residual postpartum diseases, cold dysentery with frozen pus, tenesmus, fullness and pain in the chest and hypochondrium, cough, hematemesis, alternating chills and fever, red and yellow urine, and difficult defecation.
Zelan (24 zhu), Shigao (1 liang), Danggui (10 zhu), Yuanzhi (30 zhu), Gancao, Houpo (each 18 zhu), Ben, Zi, Ren.
The above twenty-one ingredients are chopped. Use 1.5 dou of water, first boil Sangbaipi (Mulberry Root Bark) to obtain 7.5 sheng, remove it, add the other herbs, boil to obtain 3.5 sheng, strain, and divide into three doses.

Baosheng Wan (Life-Preserving Pill)
Treats all wind-cold and blood-qiu disorders before and after childbirth in women, postpartum blood head, vertigo, and body tremors.
Shihu (Dendrobium), Qinjiao (Gentian), Guizhi (Cinnamon Twig), Shudihuang (Prepared Rehmannia), Beimu (Fritillaria), Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia), Nuomi (Glutinous Rice), Jiangtang (Dried Ginger), Gancao (Licorice), Xixin (Asarum) (each 2 qian), Danggui (Angelica Sinensis).
Grind into fine powder, mix with refined honey to make 144 pills. Take one pill per dose; for irregular menstruation, take with Danggui wine; for leukorrhea (red and white discharge) before and after childbirth, take with warm wine; for inducing labor... Qingyun San (Blue Cloud Powder)
Mainly treats men with insufficient Yang Qi, unable to transform and generate, resulting in infertility.
