Infants with stiff body and opisthotonos (arched back) are treated by moxibustion at a point 3 cun inside the hairline on the nose, 3 moxa cones. Subsequently, moxibustion is applied to the interspace below the Dazhui (GV14) vertebra, 3 moxa cones. The moxa cone should be the size of a wheat grain.
Infantile pigeon chest (turtle chest) arises from lung heat causing distension and fullness attacking the chest and diaphragm. It may also result from the nursing mother consuming hot-natured wheat noodles and the "five pungent spices" (garlic, chives, leeks, wild garlic, and asafoetida), leading to further elevation of the chest. Moxibustion is applied to points located 1.5 cun anterior to each nipple, in the interspaces between the third bones of the upper two rows, 3 moxa cones per point. The moxa cone should be the size of a wheat grain. In spring and summer, moxibustion proceeds from bottom to top; in autumn and winter, from top to bottom. If this method is not followed, one or two out of ten treatments will fail to heal.

Infantile kan-eye disease (malnutrition-related eye disorder) is treated by moxibustion at the Hegu (LI4) acupoints, bilateral, 1 moxa cone each. The moxa cone should be the size of a wheat grain. The location is in the depression between the first and second metacarpal bones.
For infants suffering from persistent cold dysentery in late autumn, moxibustion is applied to the pulsating artery between 2 and 3 cun below the umbilicus. The moxa cone should be the size of a wheat grain.
Infantile convulsions and epilepsy are treated by moxibustion at the Guilu (EX-HN16) point, 1 moxa cone. The location is on the inner surface of the upper lip, above the central frenulum. The moxa cone should be the size of a wheat grain. Using a steel knife for incision is considered superior.
Infantile water qi disease (edema with abdominal distension), characterized by swelling of all four limbs and abdominal enlargement, is treated by moxibustion at 1 cun above the umbilicus, 3 moxa cones. The moxa cone should be the size of a wheat grain. This is the Fen Shui (Dividing Water) point.

Infants with excessive heat-toxic wind causing eye pain are treated by moxibustion at the head of the proximal phalanx of the middle finger, 3 moxa cones, known as Quan Jian (Fist Tip). The moxa cone should be the size of a wheat grain.
Infantile turtle back (kyphosis) results from external wind invading the spine at birth, reaching the marrow. For this condition, moxibustion is applied to Feishu (BL13), Xinshu (BL15), and Geshu (BL17), 3 moxa cones per point. The moxa cone should be the size of a wheat grain. Feishu (BL13): 1.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the third thoracic vertebra; Xinshu (BL15): 1.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the fifth thoracic vertebra; Geshu (BL17): 1.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the seventh thoracic vertebra.
Infantile umbilical swelling is treated by moxibustion in the interspace of the vertebral segment opposite the umbilicus posteriorly, 3 moxa cones. The moxa cone should be the size of a wheat grain.
Infantile acute wind-stroke (convulsive disorder) is treated by moxibustion at Qian Ding (GV20), 3 moxa cones. The location is 1 cun anterior to Baihui (GV20). If there is no improvement, moxibustion must also be applied to both glabella (Yintang, EX-HN3) and Renzhong (GV26) below the nose, 1 moxa cone each. The moxa cone should be the size of a wheat grain.

For infantile wind-epilepsy unresponsive to various treatments, moxibustion is applied to the point 1.5 cun inside the hairline above the ear, which is the Shuaigu (GB8) point. [Note: The text mentions chewing and applying, implying herbal application or specific technique].
Infantile vomiting of milk is treated by moxibustion at Zhong Ting (CV12), 1 moxa cone. The location is in the depression 1 cun below Danzhong (CV17). The moxa cone should be the size of a wheat grain.
Infantile dry eyes and photophobia, resembling Qing Mang (blindness due to liver/kidney deficiency), is treated by moxibustion at Zhongzhu (TE3), bilateral, 1 moxa cone each. The location is in the depression distal to the metacarpophalangeal joint between the fourth and fifth metacarpal bones. The moxa cone should be the size of a wheat grain.
Infantile night blindness (que mu) is treated by moxibustion 1 cun behind the nail of the thumb, at the head of the transverse crease on the medial side where white flesh meets the skin, 1 moxa cone each side. The moxa cone should be the size of a wheat grain.
Infantile jerking during sleep is treated by moxibustion at the tip of the great toe and the second toe, approximately the width of a leek leaf away from the nail, 1 moxa cone each side. The moxa cone should be the size of a wheat grain.
